Baby Joseph: Coming Home. Canadian Doctors: Death Panel Using the Courts?

While we feel a geat deal of empathy for the parents, we held that their view was not in any way realistic, Joseph's parents were blinded by their obvious love for their child.
Justice Helen Rady
Ontario Consent & Capacity Board

Fox News brings focus on an issue where the Canadian Health Care System has given up on a citizen.  'Blinded" by love for their child?  To Judge Rady, I can only say:  "NO!!!"   Jesus Christ, NO!"

This Family is in no way BLINDED.  They SEE.  As a Bureaucrat, hemmed in by your status and custom, it is you who are blinded, who is denied by obstacles to your sensibility, to honor this family.

In the United States, where Medical Choices are not bound by Socialized Medicine's bottom line directive, Baby Joseph is welcome, has previously been "treated" for his seemingly hopeless condition, and has - by his father's testimony - benefited therefrom.  Yet the Province of Ontario has placed the infant under round-the-clock surveillance preventing the family from taking him home "to die" or to be transported to a Michigan hospital where his pro-active care can be resumed.

I am stricken by the similarity to this case that our own Betty Jean went through to save the life of her daughter, Louisa.  Aside from the "Death Panel" documentary being thus borne out by the Canadian Health Care Apparatus, it is clear to right-thinking people that the Judicial System should not be in the business of advocating or expediting any patient's demise.  No family, unwilling to consent to such a choice, should face this as a business matter.  As long as they have life, patients holding on have reason, and must, therefore be connected to their loved ones IN THIS WORLD.

To any of you 'single payer' providers and government-controlled health care advocates, I can only ask this:  How is it that the Family is "blinded" by their love for their child, but the System grinding to such a black & white, faithless decision isn't utterly without standing in the matter in the first place?

Word to the Wise:   Nothing is more certain than the likelihood that Joseph will survive, more-over, thrive in the United States where the medical teams who undertake his care are driven neither by threat of arrest nor by cynical expediency.  To this family, every moment of this baby's life is a gift from God.  To anybody who might find themselves in Baby Joseph's position:  Step Back and Rethink this while you posess the capacity to think for yourselves.

Obama, "Permissive Parent" = Incorrigible Offspring

Getting the "boyz will be boyz" brush-off from the "Present" Voter In Chief, Mom concludes that it's time to direct focus on the source of the noise and bring down an authoritarian judgement on the men who can't correct and control themselves.  "The Kids" are at it all over the place.  The Pretendisdent shows lights on, nobody home.  Hey, Kids:  Who'se the Boss?"

 Who'se yer Mama?

Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton (MY LEFT HAND KEEPS MAKING HER A CLINGON - Leftie:  What's UP with that?)
To the KID in Chief running his mouth with zero relative comprehension of the cause/effect reality in which he's yammering plattitudes, Tucker Carlson should just muse:  "Cross yer legs, Barak."  All that trash you Obats talked on the Clintons had its effect on elections.  OK, maybe, a grain of it had some relevance to perception.  Now we get it.  Can this Woman, with her unique status, communicate in behalf of the Country she loves, what the entity to whom she "reports" apparrently cannot?  OK, the brains of the outfit, Bill, is always back there, reinforcing the message to the people of the Middle East, that their wish to participate in the rising tide of prosperity at Americans' expense can be fulfilled only in the redistribution of rights to the women and children of their respective countries.  Human Rights Council:  What are you'nz made of?

Wisconsin 14 Demonstrates The Power Of The Rules Of Order

Cheese Heads instruct the Democrats with a lesson in payback.  Following two years during which Congressional Leadership abused the majorities issued in 2008 elections, the People have reversed the numbers.  As a baseball fan who whiled away summers playing neighborhood round-robin, my understanding of Innings helps me to "read" the actions of the Democratic Minority,  IT APPEARS the 14 Democrats are being well-managed, playing for that third out, hoping to survive by denying the Republicans a quorum.  The games of State Legislatures, just like the games of the Administration, are won and lost in the ability to play by the Rules of Order.  It's a slam-dunk if they show up to work.  The Republicans have a lock-on, pit bull determination to bust the Public Employees Union and have the numbers - thanks to the Voters - to get it done.  The "bitch" of the pay-back is a tough one for hard-punching Union Leadership to eat.

Boorish abuse of their majorities, demonstrated by the "I Won" Neanderthal In Chief, has forced the Republicans into "Transactional Parent" mode.   Failure to engage in the responsible exchange of "Win/Win" legislative conduct made the Democrats the neighborhood bullies.  In response, the "Neighbors" were left with an unacceptable condition.  The folks next door, enabled by their obnoxious "collective bargaining" tactics, enjoyed job tenure in jobs they worked 9 months per year PLUS almost weekly days off, for salaries their own private sector incomes don't touch.  The teachers next door had money to improve their properties, buy new cars, qualify for loans, even go on vacation!   Their Neighbors, represented by Teachers' Unions, were enjoying security while their own jobs and businesses were evaporating.  The decision these tenured folks made to fail to show up for work ranks right up there with the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Union error of the Eighties.

Pressure is a fatigue-inducing condition.  Responsibility is knowing when to ease the pressure and permit the REDISTRIBUTION necessary to take the next step.  Unregulated pressure that just builds and builds is a strangler.  Pressing an advantage, but with respect for the human dignity of the opponnent is - or should be the restraining principle of these Public Servants.  They must be reasonable enough to see both that they are fighting for themselves, but they are fighting against their neighbors!  Know when to say "When!"  On the playground, they held their mates up on the see-saw.  Denied options, moms wanted ony to get the kids back into school so they could return to their own jobs.   Concessions extorted by the collectively "bargaining" Teachers seemed cruelly selfish...these bastards are our neighbors, go to our churches,... their kids "play" with ours.   Every parent forced to deal with teacher's strikes came to internalize resentment towards their obnoxious neighbors. The property owners were losing their homes and jobs, borrowing from their savings to pay real estate taxes exploding to keep up with the Union demands.  All the while, school performance diminished, violence and bullying made school a very dangerous place.  Parochial, private and home schooling presented viable options, their value not subject to Union Leader's tactics.  Control.  Freedom from Fear, isolation from - not the social experience of school, but from ANTI-SOCIAL behavior of the greedy leadership and the neighbors KIDS!

In the spirit of Jacqueline Kennedy, they yanked their kids out of a game set up to beat them.  They found alternatives.  Union Strength, just like the sort of Alpha Male strength appealing to Women, is in generosity, consideration and the practice of taking that which has been acquired through strength and REDISTRIBUTING BY TEACHING the better way to those who follow your leadership.  In THIS WAY, Barak Obama, you spread the WEALTH.  Wealth is not in that which has already been produced as profit.  Wealth is not the money already visible on the table.  Wealth is not gleaned by milking customers to the margin for franchised homogeneity.

WEALTH is manifested in our individual and collective worth as beings: educated, mutually supportive,  gentle and nurturing - qualities associated with the professional TEACHER

Bullying is nothing more than the reactionary behavior of a low-skill, frustrated person employed as a teacher, but neither by practice nor exercise, developed as an educating professional.  Gentle People, engaged in the Teaching Profession know perfectly well that their membership in a union is a double-edged sword by which they can both win benefits for themselves and lose honor by permitting their leadership to conduct themselves in ways they know they could not tolerate in a classroom and expect to succeed.  Public employees need to bring their professional skills to the collective bargaining table.  Go back to work. Get the show-boaters off the TV and bring in the solid colleagues you have come to know by their work.  Manage the Pressure.  But most importantly, understand the difference between discipline and punishment.

Jim Leyland, Detroit Tigers Manager, once the Pirate Skipper, is a better way to show on-camera managerial skill in operation.  His wheels turn and his command of the Rules of the Game is phenomenal.  His adherence to the basics as the platform on which to build team unity is proven out in the joy both the players and the fans experience in being good at what they do.  Sure, they make great money as the result, but the quality of the team, the tactics and the SHOW are the hallmarks of a Leyland on-field product.

Hank Steinbrenner, calling out the Yankees for "celebrating and building mansions" instead of playing to win, channels his father in getting eye to eye with Big League professional athletes, and taking dominion over any shallow mercenaries to apply - appropriately - the pressure to perform if they expect to collect.  Sincerely flattering the Steeler Nation - seen throughout the NFL, .. the World, the International Space Station waving Terrible Towels,  the Yankee Part-Owner noted rivals tried to contrive a Red Sox Nation
..."Red Sox Nation? What a bunch of bullshit that is...That was a creation of the Red Sox and ESPN, which is filled with Red Sox fans...Go anywhere in America and you won't see Red Sox hats and jackets, you'll see Yankee hats and jackets. This is a Yankee country. We're going to put the Yankees back on top and restore the universe to order."
And thus the Yankee Pride is demonstrated.  Tired, sportswriters' cookie-cutter expressions, to the Fan, lack the "What I've Done For You Lately" substance that is the lifeblood of Rotisserie League cash flow.  One thing I learned in sales:  A winning team is good for business.  World Series and Super Bowl Champs make for a proud community.  Folks can let a lot slide when you deliver a winner.  Drag in a dog that just costs money and won't fetch, hunt or guard and you'd better hope they LOVE you if you want to stay "up."

According to last November's elections, the Democrats, the Unions and the high maintenance non-performers are getting no love from the folks.  Maybe they blew it last Valentines Day when they failed to show up with flowers and a few 'gifts' for those they should have wooed.  When Democrats pitch paying taxes as "Investing" they need to police their performing providers with the following heads-up:

5 Star Service designed to increase your intelligence, not insult it, so you can wave "Good Riddance" to some high-priced joker churning out cookie-cutter portfolios.  Price is one thing: Value is another,  Don't confuse the two.

It's Like the Kids LEARNED At Kent State, Women: They Plan For You

gender apartheid:  It is a scandal that the feminists haven't taken the issue of the treatment of women in Iran and the Muslim world seriously.  It is the failure of leadership in taking the incredibly poor advice of the Academic Elite (Obama being Elitist Fool In Chief) who have unrealistic views of the movement for Democracy in the Middle East.  The protests and the confrontations are distractions for the gullible media to induce the Americans to support the "people" of Egypt, Iran, etc.

The first goal of the Muslim world is to put Women in their place.  Ave Maria!  Mother, be with us.

Iranium, the documentary, poses very pointed observations about the regimes on the move to impose Muslim beliefs on the entire world, along with it Sharia Law.

"I for one welcome our new computer overlords," Ken Jennings

Me, too:)  Computers sit there, passive in possession of the information you want, awaiting your next move.  Maybe this could be adapted by the voters:  IBM may actually have something here...

Stop the bad guys with good information

Counteracting instances of threat and fraud involves acquiring trusted information, confirming identities and monitoring activity patterns. Like Watson, Identity Insight conducts analysis in real time and accumulates a growing body of context regarding people and their identities.

http://www-943.ibm.com/innovation/us/watson/watson-for-a-smarter-planet/building-a-jeopardy-champion.html   The technology developed to challenge Ken Jennings evolved in a THINK TANK.  From the information level to which most Americans have access: print & broadcast media, we get shades of, but not all of the information that would lead to better choices.  The complete works of Shakespeare, Encyclopedias, cook books, technical textbooks,... the servers holding the data Watson scans presently occupy a sizeable room.  Hmmmm.....

In the 50's, the computer itself took that much space.  The Job Control Language to run a given program consisted of blocks of punch cards and required 24/7 attention.  Computers required dust-free, air conditioned  rooms and on-site IBM consultants to get a day's work out of them.  Then came circuit boards with all wires and tubes welded in place.  The chip and other intelligence processors reduced both the size and the fragility of these little drones which appealed to kids for what?   Video games.

Today, just as legions of Angels balance on the point of a pin, physical substance of the Computer has vaporized into action and performance you don't see, but you see the results.  The body of proven knowledge presently housed in the Watson's servers will ultimately condense itself into programmable probabilities.  From repetetive use, the typical Watson (you betcha, there'll be more of these) will "understand" the tendencies of its respective user and coallate the most frequently used material into an even tighter, more readily accessible zone.  "Travel Time" is one of the things that makes computers have to work.  The manner in which data is stored determines the speed by which the unit delivers.  Savvy programmers duplicate data wherever the paths can be removed.  In a few generations, the Watson of the future will have condensed the most human data into something as small as the laptop on which I am producing this piece.

Thus I expect to live about 200 years and be part of the leadership that dispenses with the politics and gets governing on factual, proven paths to our original mission as a nation:  To form a more perfect union.  In moments like these, as I ponder the potential of humankind, I cannot think negative thoughts about those with whom I disagree.  An entity like Watson reassures me that the work to which I gravitate is - not a waste of time, nor a frivolous obsession, but my valid contribution to the experts we all promise to be.

Sarah Palin references the way she is "wired" as the reason she processes information and chooses the road she takes.  Her leadership track is a Ground Breaking, NOT a Rules Breaking approach.  Beyond the Crowd, Leaders see things differently.  She is, like Bill Clinton is, a multi-level processor of data.  In her life, she has made choices that get results.  Her decisions are based on what she knows, experiences and proves with substantive basis.  She doesn't seek approval.  She works with IT.  Beyond the readily assembled crowds Google "execs" have demonstrated ability to produce, Palin takes Social Media and controls electronic media with sensible, irrefutable data.  She synchronizes thinking with indisputable connections.  Thinkers recognize, and by contrast, manipulators are unmasked.  Watson proved that human language and a data bank can be combined to explode misconceptions of who controls what...of Power itself.  Where once, it was contended that Knowledge is Power, Watson rings around that concept with a more pointed assertion:  It is a combination of what you KNOW and where you apply it that enhances your stability.  I can only hope that the matter that presently dominates my thoughts, the lame Democratic Leadership, enslaved by the Progressive Agenda, will find itself on Watson's List of things to clean up.

Observing Nancy Pelosi, who mysteriously remained in her chair of the Democratic Congressional Caucus despite the massive defeats her colleagues suffered in November, I am convinced that manipulation of data works on Elected Representatives.  Or maybe, it works on men.  Maybe the proven fundraising she has done continues to shore up her status,  But NOBODY who processes data with the evenness of the mission to arrive at a more perfect union can take her seriously.  She is full of bullshit.  She is derailing the debate in the interest of Lord knows what.  Obama & his White House are in a Land of the Lost still out of their league where factual, demonstrated truth is refuted as though we're all too stupid to question his veracity.

Watson: I can't say enough how I am looking forward to working with you!  Things like this make me forget the trolls... http://www.rafaa.ch/rafaa/rio_de_janeiro.html

PA State Committee Meeting Thoughts

Notes from the February 5 meeting of the Pennsylvania State Democratic Committee meeting in Hershey, Newly elected State Chairman, Jim Burn faces another tough election cycle.  Let’s see how he goes about sharpening the saw.  Supposedly, the party has the registration edge.  Why didn’t that translate into ballot casting in November, 2010?

PA State Committee challenged by:
A.      Small staff (1/3 typical State Committee Staff)  Cool.  More jobs to be created for Progressive Aggressives who don’t listen, don’t respect their elders and don’t have a clue about building consensus with well-positioned older and women voters.  Applause: you galvanized the youth vote with one candidate for one election.  Do you appreciate, yet, how the Democratic Base was cannibalized to game your own rules and elevate a less qualified candidate in a year that supposedly “any” democrat was going to win?  Do you relate, yet, how pissed off those old women still are?  Do you want to continue to fan the flame of their anger which they express in the voting booth with that “Get over it” Shout?
B.      Lack of (as the result of the freaking progressives dissing the) sitting Governor
Fundraising needs:  The kids of the Onorato campaign, the Sestak campaign, the various congressional campaigns, made no effort to cultivate the older participants in the process.  A lesson they’re unable to comprehend is about Democrats of Substance who want to know who they’re electing, want to meet “the Candidate,” checkbook in hand, and be treated with respect.  A bold young guy with all the talking points about the number of rocks they needed to look under for small change were NOT working the Establishment donors.  Couldn’t you see?  They had done such a hack job on the goodwill of those Democrats that the reputation for DISRESPECT was unavoidable.

The State Party can point to the get-out-the-vote model of Nevada which managed to re-elect Reed to the Senate… (Not because he represents their voice, but because he is Senior enough to procure – via pork barrel measures such as earmarks – funds for Nevada.)  I’m pretty sure all the tactics employed in behalf of the Reed campaign were legitimate.  In Pennsylvania, on the other hand, Bobby Casey managed to undermine the Governor, the sitting Senator whose seniority, likewise, served the voters, and the Democratic Candidate for Governor with the aggressive promotion of the Progressive Agenda.

I get it.  This is a Casey Grudge Game.  He despises the Clintons, he despises Ed Rendell.  He exploits the trust of undiscerning Democrats.  Raising money?  The big check donors will first ask you if you can convince Bobby Casey to grow up and get with the full Party.
Senator:  dumprick wasn’t about electing Bobby Casey.  It was about taking down Santorum.  Given the Progressive tactic of threatening Primary Challenges to any Democrat that didn’t give their super delegate vote to “the One” or rubber-stamp the Obama Agenda, a primary challenge to Casey is certainly in order.  I hope it’s a WOMAN!

REDISTRICTING:  Mark Longietti
“Ten years ago, (1991) I knew nothing about the re-drawing the boundaries of the congressional and legislative districts.”  Turnovers.  Losing control. In fact, the Progressives have  been so “successful” in pushing out all the “establishment” democrats who would KNOW how to fight for the Democrat’s fair share of the redistricting balloon, that nobody in today’s party leadership was even around then.  So it’s another “On The Job” training program for the party  as the Republicans let them choose the poison they want to take for the seat they’re about to give up in Congress.

Fadia says that they “failed to get their message out, about all they had done for the voters.
HELLO! ! ! !  So, y’ur saying you didn’t do enough talking?
Rich.  These “progressives” are just so full of themselves, they’re beyond hope.  They’re just going to have to lose yet another election – like they did in November 2010… Now, they don’t acknowledge that the Republicans didn’t beat them; the voters simply saw that they were absolutely not capable of being any better than the politicians they bashed for eight years.  Women, are you innerested in putting up your hard-earned 70 cents on the Dollar to let them indulge for a couple more years?  I’m not.  I see a bunch of ‘I’m-tired-of-hearing-it” guys who just refuse to hear it and a bevy of ambitious young women willing to cower in compliance just to get a shot.  These young women break the hearts of their mothers, grandmothers and teachers by their failure to grasp the importance of Sisterhood in the Political Power Struggle.  This trend, on the part of the Progressives driving the agenda, means I’ll be getting my popcorn and settling back to watch the show.  No way am I putting ANY effort into working with, for or on them.  They’re like those Jewells in Jewel Quest that are encrusted, hidden behind a caste or somehow not in play until they’ve been “opened.”  I’m not feeling sorry for the Democrats, and I’m certainly feeling no duty to advocate for the young women who so callously disregard the value of the work their “ForeMothers” did in their behalf and the opportunities they enjoy today as the result.  Pay It Forward is not a feature of these young women’s attitudes.
Any Guy who can rationalize rape by arguing that the woman “asked for it” can relate.  These people are demanding the next level of their political education.  It has nothing to do with Party.  It has to do with relationships.  There they are up front talking about how they’re about “relationships,” yet they say stupid things like: “I’m sick of hearing it.”  Yeah; RELATIONSHIP-oriented.  Here comes Valentines’ Day, Here comes Valentines’ Day, right down “Relationship” Way.  Do any of you guys realize the hole yu’r digging into?  Do you understand that the “People” tell the pollsters that they like the Obama’s but they don’t plan to VOTE for him?  It’s like the really nice people at the office who think you’re GREAT and you have the best personality and you show up on time and do everything right, but they’re firing you.  Nothing personal:  They just aren’t getting rich your way.  Good luck to you.

February 5, 2011 Hershey Lodge, PA Meeting Rooms
I’m auditing the “Credentials Committee Meeting” and am surprised that the four men present for this meeting are giving their impressions from a very subjective viewpoint.  So this is how these guys come up with their strategies.  I’ve really got to call bullshit on them.  They don’t offer substantial reasoning to support their conjecture.  Point is, I doubt they have minds open enough to really read the electorate.  They don’t know, not interested in finding out.  My experience with these progressives is basically about how little they actually know.  Sure, they work hard – beating the ear of anybody who gives them a moment.  But they’re like their poster boy: big ears that don’t work.  They are absolutely and utterly indifferent to your input.  They know where they’re going and assert that they know best what is best for you.  They judge the voters “crazy,” racist, unqualified to choose.  They operate from an impenetrable “above it” disengaged attitude that they work hard and deserve to win.  In what vacuum do you expect to collect a paycheck for that level of a rigged playing field?
We hold elections to find out…  Who Cares (?) enough to come out, cast a vote, exercise the sacred right/perform a civic duty?
Here’s Kathryn Boockvar, a kid, basically, who arrived in rural northeast Pennsylvania, fresh out of college, to be the only attorney serving the legal needs of the poor.  OK, Ms. Boockvar, you operated in a learn-by-doing atmosphere, free of influence from either mentoring elders or competing savvies.  You have a practice with your husband and, for some reason you have convinced the other provincials that you are qualified to be a judge!  This is the instant replay of the manner by which your generation of women fail the litmus test to reflect understanding of the struggle for women’s’ rights.  Yes, I got your letter inviting me to your reception…three days after I got home from that meeting.  You convinced enough people that you could beat Barbara Ernsberger straight up in a primary election because you are organized.  But, Kathryn, besides the same bunch of blowhards and bullies that brought in new leadership to the State Committee, WHO DO YOU KNOW?  WHO KNOWS YOU?  The Bar Association?  Their recommendations are for amusement only, like Blackwell’s best dressed lists.  Conversely, plenty of people know Barbara Behrend Ernsberger.  Barbara, likewise is in practice with her husband.  She has chaired the City of Pittsburgh Democratic Committee, an organization that elects its candidates.  This volunteer work, along with her pro-bono representation of the communities opposed to a WalMart causing landslides and road closures in her county, has schooled Barbara in dealing with people who are out to get her.  In your cozy little rural, quasi challenging world, Kathryn, I cannot imagine that you have encountered the level of humanity that Barbara has, due mostly to the number of years over which she has produced a body of work.  Her 2009 lap around the track established her as a qualified candidate for this cycle.  The Caucus remarks by the men about the Bar Association not recommending her totally frosted me.  They NEVER mention the Republicans either out of respect or with responsible knowledge of their campaign tactics.  They want you to accept that the failings of Barbara Ernsberger cost the Democrats those seats.  For my money, the County Chairs got “push back” from the Primary Voters and their male, endorsed candidates got shut out.  So there was zero effort to get out the vote for the two women who won the democratic primary and the County Chairs showed, not only their lack of class, but their irresponsible inability to admit they are out of order and, as the result, out of favor with the voters – THE MAJORITY OF WHOM ARE WOMEN!!!  You want to bank on the youth vote?  Be our guests.  (Good luck getting them out of bed on Election Day,)  For Bookvar to play on the Bar Association  gossip is profoundly disturbing to me, tells me that another untested, unproven commodity of the “Progressive” label is shoving aside a substantial Democrat to waste a ballot position.  If you Progressives are out to destroy the Democratic Party by preventing us from winning elections, the endorsement of Bookvar was a step in that direction. When you hit the campaign trail to meet the voters, they’ll be asking you what happened to Barbara?  Just like they asked, “What happened to Hillary?”  Bewildered initially, by party roolz they thought were on the level, the women who were poised to elect a woman president in our lifetime, know something bad went down and want nothing to do with the perpetrators.  In 2009, women went to the polls and expressed their displeasure with the men of the Democratic Party by going down the list and voting one-by-one, for all the Republican WOMEN. In 2011, it’s not about taxes, social issues or competence anymore.  It’s about class.  The Republicans were tossed from office in 2006 for their boorish intolerance of female leadership.  It was expected that the Democratic Party would respect the numbers, if not the gender.  Traditionally, women vote Democrat.  One would expect that the politicians , whose bread and butter is that female voter, would conduct their business with cognizance of the women working beside them, volunteering for them and convincing their neighbors to believe in them enough to get out and vote for them.  In 2008, under the toxic influence of rash young males doing a “Tonya Harding” on the Women of the United States of America, the Democrats sent a vile and malicious message:  “We’ll put a black guy in there before we let a woman be elected President.  We make up all these bullshit rules to run you around and waste your time under the naïve supposition that we play by our published rules.  Psyche!!!”
To the young women like Kathrine Boockvar who are entering the arena under the impression that they might serve the MAJORITY of the population, the workforce, the Democratic Party: Have At It.  Like your Affirmative Action President, learning on the job, you are about to squander the remaining faith women have in the two party system on a candidacy before your time.  Shove aside yet another accomplished woman and proven vote-getter on the free ride given by a bunch of disrespectful guys just looking for you to buy into their disloyal, discriminating sexist power trip.  As you embark on your tour of the Commonwealth’s 67 Counties, prepare to get an earful from the voters about the democrats.  Whether or not you are equipped to realistically evaluate the input you’ll get, I am not convinced that you possess the political insight to respond with the level of loyalty to women that the voters are looking for.  Ernsberger has proven she does. Before the influx of the “bold” progressives, accomplished political activists of the Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee had respect for each other.  They left these meetings with as good a chance of winning elections as the Republicans had.  DEMOCRATS, not Progressives, can respectably represent the Party.  Progressives are done, as Joe Sestak proved, as Jack Panella proved, as Dan Onorato proved.  It’s not because you didn’t tell the voters enough about all you did for them, Fadia.  It’s because the voters saw what you did to them.  You defied their wishes, tossed their votes in the trash and forced a stepsister’s foot into Cinderella’s glass slipper.   From the top of the ballot to the bottom, Democratic Men, and the Progressive Women they rode in on, were given the finger by the voters.  Sideways.
The real question for me is this:  Where do Women stand?  I heard a couple of put-down stories that just reinforced my outrage with the way men “assume” the choice, the option, the “decide.”  Hey, William O. Douglas!  You checked in yesterday and reminded me of the relationship we have – Choice.  You showed me that my “Choice” is very much a responsibility.  Your intervention in my actions was to both save me from myself and to communicate to me that passive doesn’t exonerate me from the consequences,  If I choose not to choose, that’s still a choice;  Madness.  So, I get this filter installed, which is crazy excited to be spoken to with such gentle oneness with my own mind … I understand that you are on the other side.  In the thirty odd years since we had that exchange, I haven’t thought much about it.
"To say that life is present at conception is to give recognition to the potential, rather than the actual. The unfertilized egg has life, and if fertilized, it takes on human proportions. But the law deals in reality, not obscurity -- the known, rather than the unknown. When sperm meets egg, life may eventually form, but quite often it does not. The law does not deal in speculation. The phenomenon of [410 U.S. 218] life takes time to develop, and, until it is actually present, it cannot be destroyed. Its interruption prior to formation would hardly be homicide, and as we have seen, society does not regard it as such. The rites of Baptism are not performed and death certificates are not required when a miscarriage occurs. No prosecutor has ever returned a murder indictment charging the taking of the life of a fetus.7 This would not be the case if the fetus constituted human life."
When you passed away, I had a sensation that my mother was dying.  I felt foolish to recognize that I could ever believe that my Mother was dying.  I know her.  It is quite easier to accept that Death could match with you more readily than her.  As I see Bob Casey’s Progressives elbowing themselves into control of the Democratic Brand, I just want to step aside and let them destroy themselves.  They have even attempted to impose a bastardized Obama brand over the D, a marketing concept not unlike pet rocks.  Taking over the “brand,’ (trademark infringement) doesn’t mean they are taking over the Democratic Party.  Traditional Democrats with zero connection to the bold progressives who are, essentially a flash in the pan, simply drop out and fail to show up for elections, for nominations, for contributions, volunteering and even finding common ground with them.  In fact, the incentive is now there to flat out reject them, tell them to get off their lawns and don’t come around them anymore.  They won’t necessarily change their registration, but until some genuine Democrats get the respect the voters expect for them, the “bold” progressives are just digging in deeper, learning nothing and their rising star status will quickly turn into shooting stars and be yesterday’s news.   I know I am alerted to the lack of basic reciprocity from these asses.  I’ll go hear the “progressive hour” and get the fuel for my next big choice.  Go, Sarah!
,,,It turns out the Progressive Hour offered zero incentive to stay,  Just as well; The Executive Committee was supposed to meet at 10’30.  Limited to a mere half hour wedged between the interest group caucuses and the regional caucuses, the meeting was delayed by the double-dipping County Chairs whose own meeting in the scheduled salon “went long.” The imposed delay of the Ex Com’s meeting stranded them in the foyer.  Queued for a truncated half hour meeting to consider and approve the 2011 Budget, arriving committee members became too big a crowd – to the point of actually sounding like one – so much so that, GASP! The County Chairs had to raise their voices to hear each other’s extended discussion.  By 10:40 a.m. the reprimand from Fadia that our chatter was disturbing the over-staying Chairs was totally frosting.  Let them move their “posturing” to the foyer, stick to the schedule and give up the room!  They had already slashed our meeting by a third!  State Committee is supposed to be a mutually cordial, respectful gathering, but the County Chairs really take a “sprawl” approach by their presence at these things.   Christ!  Their elected colleagues extended them the courtesy of a vote at the meetings, reciprocal consideration is in order, any legitimate political professional would think.  It’s a real pain in the ass how they try to control everything when they can’t even control their own meetings!
Congrats to David Wecht.  I look forward to hearing your dad’s rousing speaking style on the campaign trail.  The voters sure let Mary Beth Buchanan know where they stood on that waste of money.  It didn’t bother them that the Coroner’s expertise that got us an inside look at Celebrity and High Profile cases came at a bit of a cost to the taxpayers in staff time and office resources for which they had already paid.  Cut the crap.  Again, we don’t support everything he says and does, but we respect the body of work.  Hey, celebrity honkers: even the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences gives a lifetime achievement award to distinguished performers.  Observe some tradition.  Your day is coming.  Learn from the poor performance your President is turning in.  It’s imprudent to push yourself on the big stage before you’re ready for Prime Time.  Even Saturday Night Live had some “lemon” comedians.  Winning elections is no guarantee you can do the job.  With the Progressive concepts as your guideposts, it’s doubtful you can succeed.  Do yourselves a favor: pay your dues, wait your turn, work on the campaigns of politicians who know what they’re doing and learn from their mistakes.  After dissing the Clintons for a campaign cycle, it must really be an ego squasher for the Occupant of the Oval Office to have to turn to the Big Dawg for rescue.  Sestak too,  who almost brought down the whole house of cards with his rash, mouth-running accusations of how the Established Party people tried to force him out of the race.  Thank God Bill Clinton has the grace and love for his Country to step up and do what he does best: let the brats blame him for their self-created crisis.  In the process, everybody was reminded how peaceful it made us feel to know a grownup was at the helm.

Tahrir Squared Away - Democracy Rools

The young males addressed by departing Hosni Mubarak, Omar Suleiman and Ahmed Shafiq are now to conduct maneuvers with the newest top dawgs of Egypt;  two of Egypt's most senior military officers - Defence Minister, Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, and Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Sami Hafez Enan.

A professional demeanor as demonstrated by the Egyptian Army during the 16 days of protests in Tahrir / Liberation Square emboldened the testosterone-driven day by day right up and through to the realization of the abdication of the Dictator, Mubarak moments after his "Psyche!" speech pretending to step down when he was really going nowhere if it were up to him.

News of the protest routinely credited the Egyptian Army, an investment by the United States and it's ranking Professional Military, as the single stabilizing force in this nation reaching the natural end to a thirty year structure that saw Mubarak oppress with the Army as his big stick.  Events of the past two and a half weeks, however, showed the Police "Force" rather than the military as the goon squad.  Armored and poised, the Soldiers who rolled army tanks into Tahrir Square seemed more like the Americana Community Day appearances of the Municipal Vehicles Zoo where firemen and police give the kids a tour of the awesome machinery owned by their neighbors to defend and protect them and their parents' property.

Of course, it was not necessary to address the young women of Egypt, nor their mothers, for that matter.  Those citizens had already made it clear to the young men departing each day for demonstration duty that the use of "inside manners" would be observed under pain of execution when they returned home.  All of Egypt is a museum of civilization.  No household permits the venting of pent-up steam indoors for the threat posed to lamps, walls, dogs and clean floors.

Google Guys cultivated the demonstrations and Social Media electronics contributed vastly to the connectedness with the rest of the world as it happened.  Why Obama didn't take more purposeful action a year ago in Iran during similar efforts by the youth to release themselves from despotic rule is unclear to me at this moment, but I have no doubt that the restraint practiced by the professional Military, not the rash behavior of the "Young Males," ultimately encouraged Mubarak, Suleiman and Shafiq to place the future of Egypt into capable hands.

Tantawi and Enan are among top level members of the Egyptian Military Command who exchanged training and planning with U.S. Military Professionals and are perceived as capable of delivering an Election in Egypt with the proper temperence and equanimity the idealistic young men demand at this moment.  I cannot, however, take seriously, any of those "demonstrators" who appealed emotionally both in the hours of tense standoff leading up to the transition, nor during the celebration which followed.

The next leaders of Egypt, or at least the parties that will form around them, were planning, already, for the outcome, whichever way it went.  I hope there were Women among them.  I hope that cooler heads were wisely noting that what was coming as "Change" was best served battened down with responsible funding, respectful channels for redress and an open platform for economic development.  In such an ancient civilization, one in which a tradition of Queen Hatshepsut and Cleopatra holds as much lustre as any Pharoah, it is my sincere hope that the 52% of the citizenry rendered invisible to the media will make the most of that much desired "Super Power" by going about their power-securing work in plain sight of the "emotionally blinded" usual suspects of anarchy.  As modern Egypt knocked on electronic wood to announce itself to the future, the reasons for governing success and prosperity were revisited on us:  invention of Papyrus and hieroglyphics combining to serve posterity with written history.  Learn from that which your forebears have written and keep those young males busy.  If they "believe" that they rool, they do...what care you that they can neither see you nor covet that wealth which you comprise.

Walk Like Egyptians

We all remember Michael Jaxon assembling models and celebrities for a production number in costume for that Bangles Hit.  The moves weren't as challenging as those of the "Thriller" re-enactment by prison yard Phillipine Orange Jump-suiters, but it was cool.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trPbqYBFvWk
COOL.  That is the hope of observers monitoring
Tahrir Square goings on.
GOOGLED right out of sight by secret detainers,
Wael Ghonim, a young techie who wept at the deaths caused by his efforts, represents the highly unanticipated consequences of the take-over by rash young activists.
"We are wealthy and want nothing for ourselves!" he
asserted..."Egypt Above All!"  This is not the tough guy with the cold heart we've observed in most uprisings around the world.  This entity does not call for the blood of his detainers.  He doesn't demand the overthrow of his stabilizing government.  He just wants to support the effort to exercise rights among his youthful contemporaries.  Perhaps, because he HAS a nice job, working for a New Age employer that represents a gateway to technology as an economic force, Ghonim can temper his statements with the insistence on correcting details mis-reported while he was held captive.

My instincts tell me there's more to the detention. He confessed that he "tricked" his employer into letting him use vacation time to attend to a pressing personal matter (the need to be with his fellow demonstrators; to be part of the protest.)   He gave it no serious thought, I'm sure, as he embarked on his adventure, that innocent people on all sides of the issue would die violent deaths as the result of choices made by the organizers.  Does Social Media bear responsibility for the outcome?  Certainly, this prospering young Egyptian, so unlike the many unemployed who filled "Liberation" Square since January 28 when he was "disappeared," never imagined that any among those he was supporting would turn destructive.

In Northampton, England, an older woman under the misconception that a gang was beating up a fellow Citizen, busted up a jewelry heist under a Rolex Sign with her hefty handbag.  "I was standing talking with a woman when I heard a commotion, and I looked across and saw six young men on scooters," she said. "At first, I thought one of them was being set upon by three others. I was not going to stand by and watch somebody take a beating or worse, so I tried to intervene."

The Generational Divide could not be more enlightening.  Here a woman of frail stature, equipped with only her Social Determination, takes on both numbers and physical strength beyond her own, demonstrating unwillingness to permit such criminal element to rule her streets.  To the Women of Egypt, I say: "Load Up Your Handbags!  Speak gently and carry a heavy purse.  When appropriate, USE it!  Learn from the women who supported the campaign of Hillary Clinton and do not permit yourselves to be eclipsed by rash young males driven by foolishness, to undermine your dignified progress towards realizing your efforts to be free.  Certify Patience as responsible.  Insist that "Reformers" work within the system and make certain that your country develops on the strength of Professional Conduct, not disruption and disrespect for your status.  Your Government needs to know that you are mature members of a Society Prepared for Freedom,

Deconstructing Bill O' Bama

OK... it was a well-considered investment of the audience, state of anticipation and general mood of national celebration of media hype that would end come kick-off.  It was Super Bowl Sunday afternoon.  If you weren't already where you were going for the game ... the GAME, you were not going to have a live participation in the viewing thereof.  O'Reilley was neither The Factor host nor the "Worst Person In The World" number one, two or three.  He was a matador, cape-waving and flambouyant, the perfect "Show" leading up to the pre-game show.
The Occupant of the Oval Office (OOO) was his considered, corporate banker self.  On an information mission, he's the "do it myself" original researcher finally writing his dissertation.  His uninformed, too frequent lapses into Fox News-bashing made new enemies of the very independents who elected him.   Dynamics of ratings being what they are, folks tune out Rush, dial over to Kieth/Whoopie/Maher for their take. Once the Bush Administration Information Ministry; un-questioning, imbalanced and, frankly contemptious of other views, Fox acquired new respect for professionalism following the 2006 elections and are ahead of the Democrats on the learning curve. Viewers are, for a brief moment, also "Voters."  2008 Primaries exposed the entire Fourth Estate, forcing Viewers/Voters to dial around to achieve balance not offered by individual news organs.

(Did 70 million viewers really tune in to see Barbara Walters interview Monica Lewinski?  Says a lot.
Viewers look for two things:
  1. a chance to see for themselves
  2. how the interviewer treats the interviewee)
Gradually, I come to accept that our Affirmative Action President is teaching the children who elected him by letting them watch his evolution from a Socialist into a full-blooded Patriot.  He persued the power without performing the empowering exercises.  Misconceptions about Power are no different than those about Love.  We don't always realize what it is we're in,...love, power, trouble,...'til a "Higher Power" brings us up short.  Smackin' down Bill Clinton was a favorite Troll Game for a while, and Hillary was/is fair game for their dismissive review.  Sarah Palin, likewise, keeps them "distracted" from the duties of the "empowered" for long enough that the POWER - always seeking a worthy, able processor - finds one and takes up residence therein...."worthy, able" being the opreative characteristics.

I guess the Chamber of Commerce members know a user when they hear one.  In the President, they heard a user, albiet one with the keys to the vault they want to check out.  So there he was, before them yesterday, dangling the keys, playing the Business Community, no reason to expect anything less than the same "Fools Willing To Play By His Rools." that he found in organized labor, the Fourth Estate and Congress.  They're not looking at what they have, what they're IN:  they're looking at what they can - or believe they can - GET!

Submission disabused me of the notion that Obama has power.  Holding the office doesn't equate to having all the resources of the United States "Under My Thumb."  Love reassures me that resources demand to be exchanged, incorporated into the process and developed.  Egypt is the demonstration of HUMAN RESOURCES looking for validation through gratifying work.  The billions funnelled by the United States into the Egyptian Army fostered a taste for stability.  The Human Resources of Egypt want nothing more than a system in which to apply their skills and resources, for an opportunity to earn and play.  We're all the same; we all want the same things.  Even the Muslim Brotherhood, given the chance, would drop their hate/fight if something worth doing was available.  Wanting to Be the Boss just because, is a childish, ignorant, unworthy goal.  Those who put their efforts into such pursuit arrive, inevitably, to that awareness.   Thus we hear the "O" --- not loving being in the Bubble, the ultimate prison where Wanna Be Tough Guys of the jungle are sent to "Hold Office."

"Can't Get No Satisfaction" gave us somewhere else to look while the Beatles were re-inventing themselves, looking within to find their Musician Selves.  Touring Japan, their audience was warned not to scream or act up and thus - for the first time in years, the Band had to actually hear how poorly they were performing.  Into the Studio they fled, never again to emerge ... except, once, impromptu, on the rooftop of a London building.  "Get Back To Where You Once Belonged." they sang...anybody within ear shot knew something awesome was going down and they stopped  ...
                                                                              before Twitter or cell phones,
just aware,
knew enough to prepare
- to capture the response of the people
with cameras
everywhere

...  not all were delighted.  Some were inconvenienced - business interests acted a little like a Train Wreck mangled their day.  One liked the free concert, Elders were "cool" with their lads checking in.

Hearing the set, it appears from their playlist, that they knew

they were

Moving onjtu another Plane...
Catching the Train...
Get Back, Loretta!

Be what you are and Enjoy Your Band, your Mates, your Ensemble.

I ask you, Barak: what do you love doing?  What's both the hardest and the most gratifying work you do?  How does it "Recreate" you?  How does it help me?  Here it is, BO:  it's my job to off-load every facet of your Presidency.  Without me, you can't.  Period.  I have nothing to dangle before you, no tricks, no gateway to the next power trip, no praise, no party.  All I can show you is the better way.  All I promise is instant affirmation.  All you get from me is the demand for more, more, more, and I ain't talking physical.  You can't push me, you can't test me.  You can't take me anywhere I haven't already broken ground, and until I break new ground, you can't either.  The next game on the calendar is for Gentlemen.  Only teams with a female performing member may play.  Because they're TEAMS, they unite in their purpose, exchange freely and benefit equally, mutually.  You cannot pay to play this game.  You just have to be good enough.

NFL Overload: Steelers Quest For 7 Cheesed

Super Bowl Sunday had finally come and the Burghers and Cheese Heads were at last in those seats for the big one. How all of them got there was an Odessey that all but matched the challenges met by the respective teams. A Storm of Mothra proportions commandeered the resources of the Dallas Billionaires and everything North of North Texas. The once-in-fifty-years blizzard re-directed flights and exhausted travelers who arrived in Dallas/Fort Worth to streets treated -not with salt to deal with the ice and snow - but with sand...ah, Southerners. Green Bay and Pittsburgh alike deal with such conditions as just winter, and go on with the day. De-icing equipment passes over every flight leaving PIT, GRB,EWK and points north this time of year, and no big deal. Delays weren't about leaving cities to fly to DFW, but rather, to land there. By mid week, it was clear; this wasn't shaping up to be anybody's idea of a vacation. The work to get there nearly bested the fans who happily paid three grand for tickets. For Steeler Fans, it was not a year in which 7 had a clean path to Heaven. Lombardi went home to purify. To avoid being charged with a crime that would have forced the Roonies to cut him, Big Ben turned over the bulk of his salary for 2010 to Ed Garland. The Michael Vick experience was affirmed. #7 jereys burned. Vick has served his time and returned to the NFL to make the most of the 2nd chance he's earned. Ben was pummeled by TMZ for taking his Offensive Linemen to dinner - as they always do on Tuesdays, and closing out the evening at a karaoke bar. Geeze! Media can really hold a guy's feet to the fire, no? Big timer, Ed Garland negotiated a couple of incentive clauses to rep Ben's case down there in Georgia.

Option Ben's Super Bowl bonus /  Milledgeville LawEnforcement off his case.

Back to Business

It's just business to the piranha drawing a paycheck in sports reporting.  Sensation IS substance.  Ben now undertakes the off-season of reflection on the responsibility of being 'the Man.'  This jock made an idiot's choice to ride a vroom, vroom motorcycle built for the race track without a frickin' helmet!  ABATE, an "activist"  biker crowd succeeded in having the helmet law revoked in Pennsylvania.

Here's what I know:
Stars are "Bankable"
Prima Donnas are ballerinas.
Yet the ballerina, Tom Brady, won the MVP award.
Quarterback Gunslinger almost pulled it off but those subtle influences that weigh the scale

__In favor of one well-matched team  /
over another___weren't on Ben's side.

It was the subtlety awaiting the Business Man, Ben.  Deion and Marshall and Shannon entered the NFL Hall of Fame.  Dermonte Dawson and the Bus didn't.  There's this business arrangement known as a contract.  Nothing about Dawson and Bettis mattered.  It was that Steeler National Embarassment, Big Ben being a lowlife at a college bar in Georgia, trolling for action with a wing of off duty law enforcement sleaze pimping for him.  An offseason civil lawsuit filed by a ski resort concierge to whom the guy's style was just too presumptive weighed them down as well. Nothing the reporters can quite put their finger on, just a missing ingredient that gives the trophy to the others.

Ok, the Steelers shouldn't get SEVEN Super Bowl Trophies before the rest of the league can even get One For The Thumb...we GET it.  But, Ben, ... Mr. Rooney, ... your MAN'S WORLD game has made for a lot of really akward moments.  I remember when the Media covered things like the incidence of Domestic Violence spiking on Super Bowl Sunday.  The volatile combination of gambling, alcohol and football was observed to be a life-threatening one for some family members.  A "google" of the claim turns up the astonishing and universally quoted Public Relations assertion that the whole thing's a myth.  Whoah, Clydesdales!  Does that mean it isn't happening, or that it isn't reported?  Are folks having Super Bowl gatherings to provide outlets for energies that might otherwise go haywire?  Or has the NFL succeeded in dismissing the notion of mahem off the field in the business interests of the owners?  I'm not suggesting that gentlemen who own NFL Franchises have swept it under the rug, but rather, that the wholesomeness of the GAME is the money-maker to be protected.  Early in the 2010 season, James Harrison was fined repeatedly for hits that went a jarring bit beyond the League's ability to sustain.  They demonstrated a distaste for the brute hit and it showed in the play of the League's MVP defensive player, Polamalu.  Once an "everywhere" "Out Of Nowhere" threat to quarterbacks, the playoffs reflected the HAIR, not the muscle.  The Ad Men were about the "Pola Molecules" not the athletecism.  I thought it looked as though the men in the striped shirts were keeping the rest of the League in the Game; penalties called on Steeler players eclipsed play in the games following Ben's return after a four game suspension.  Coach Tomlin and the players who covered Ben's behind discreetly, but at a price, demonstrated the level of substance that the Business Interests of this country have the ability to communicate.

I won't go reactionary on the NFL here.  I applaud their genuine business savvy.  People benefit from stability. Crazy, negative focus on the dark side of people, such as that delivered by main stream media, has a tendency to diminish confidence.  Work in Syndicated News Features Sales brought me into contact with the folks who "keep the doors open."  I learned that the Business of News is supported by Advertising.  Eight years of Clinton-bashing by the "Vast, Right Wing" conspiracy, followed by eight years of Bush-bashing conducted in the blogosphere and on TV confirmed for me that which I had discerned from the vibe I get from well-dressed women.  If you don't have something positive to say; say nothing.  Nobody "buys" opinions.  Opinions appear on the EDITORIAL Page, where you'll find NO Advertising.  That and the Front Page, are sacred common ground.  There the rules are universal.  Center.  Balance.  Equal Coverage.  Tight and slightly "to the Right."   It's just good business.  Worried people don't buy.  A buyer is one who manifests a "healthy discontent" with things as they are, and takes a calculated step toward improving the conditions of their respective lives.  In considering the move, they plan, anticipate obstacles and incorporate all other factors influencing their life.  Wholesale Change is poison to that balanced approach.  "Throwing out the Baby with the bathwater" is never a wise man's game.  Improving, not Overhauling, is the way to go.

An Editor can "influence" with the choice of headlines, photos and cutlines. But the Opinions are relegated to the inside first page.  Who reads that?  NOBODY!!!  So, the back page and page 3 are the high-priced real-estate of the Newspaper Convention.  Enter the Internet/Cable News.  Perhaps it's time the Journalism Major, Sarah Palin, gets the call to restore the rules and the knowledge thereof to those whores of us presently cranking out undisciplined, unrestrained, inartful excess.

There!

I'm over myself.  My anger, frustration and disapproval of ignorant, pushy Progressives is contained.  I've been here.  I know this game.  It was the same challenge faced by the newspaper industry in the 70's when television Network News was overtaking daily newspapers.  Space is premium.  Items crystallized into tight quarters to maximize profits.  Stories that conflicted with the business interests of the Advertisers found themselves buried in the throw-away sections of the  "fish wrappers" - if they were published at all.  Folks checked the Sports Page, looked at the Gossip and the Comics and after that, had little time for the day-to-day stuff.  There, TV delivered.  "Stories" were parsed according to a Good News / Bad News quotient for the 12 year-old mentality to which news is pitched.

Here, in my private moment, I share this culmination of years of "Observing Objectively."  My choices have delivered me here, on my own door step, so to speak.  I am "reading" myself, understanding where I go from here.  I want to contribute, to be a respectable influence on my "universe."  To achieve that, I must find a way to communicate my insight in a language and slant that a twelve year old can process.  Becoming a multi-level processing unit has not been an easy task for me, but, here I am, Mother Mary.  Back from the "Cleaners" with enough to recommend me to the Editors.  My attempts to write for Children initiated twenty years ago get the call.  Again.  While JR was long-handing and outlining Harry Potter, I was skating the skreets, stretching my neck and EYES to make contact with myself in the mirror behind me.  Cleaning Ladies:  we have a job call.  Let's grab all the tools our expertise has earned and start the economic recovery for ourselves.  Last night's super bowl made it quite clear, it's not hard times for everybody.  Our success is our business.   We have always made our rules and so it is that we do today.

The Legacy of R&BL Committee 5-31-2008 ... the Long "Progressive" Line

The Chicago Mob Style take-over of the Democratic Party launched by the Rules & By Laws Committee Actions of May 31, 2008 has resulted in the general thuggery now sweeping the PA House.  With zero sympathy for the "Members Of The Committee" being denied Voice by the Republican Leadership, I can only observe that the "Push Back" was easy fun for the boyz of the Progressive Leadership when it was Women and respectful traditional Democrats being pushed around.  With respect for the way men win, the way they cut deals, short-circuit the process and generally CHEAT wherever they can, we Women came to the DNC with the idea that we offer something of worth that will change the world.

Ah! The Wimminz.  We can't have them in charge.  They's already got half the money and ALL the pussy... which only counts in the straight world.  We need MEN in charge.  You know, the kind of guys, ... Congressman Bob Brady, D Philadelphia, who reacts to the shooting of his female colleague with a motion to protect himself and his fellow representatives with legislation.  I thought - or my high school teachers taught me to believe - that the wheels of Government gear slowly; deliberately so, to prevent reactionary legislation...or men like John Edwards who would play "cut throat" with the nomination process, jamming a female candidate as though we were conducting a mugging instead of an election.

That Mob-Style "Push Back," of Adam Greene http://boldprogressives.org/sestakpollresults.html and  these NutRoots guys doesn't fly, as Alan Greyson discovered.  Supported by 20 and 30 Something women who take their opportunities for granted, the guys must now, themselves, make the Forced March back to stability.  Even the Gentlemen of the Democratic Party stood by and took delight in the Circus, no, the Bacchanal that was the Democratic Convention in Denver.  They tried to pass it off as SUCCESS!   I have never had a worse taste in my mouth than when I endured the gloating of FORMER Pennsylvania Democratic Committee Chairman, T.J. Rooney about their "great" victory in 2008.  At that same Executive Committee meeting, Rooney impatiently verbally abused the member who objected to the inclusion of the County Chairs in the Executicve Committee's Budget Approval meeting.  He then proceeded to flag his plans to further pile on the Woman who objected to the DNC's theft of the votes of 18 million Democrats.  SOME WINNERS!  He's gone now, along with his sour-faced Executive Director, Mary Isenhour who somehow didn't make the association between asking State Committee people for $100 to attend a weenies and beanies fundraiser to pay her salary and treating those contributing members with respect.

For all you PROGRESSIVES out there:

  • When you equate taking money from manipulators who will use you and lose you, you'll learn how it feels to be called a whore.
  • When you think full campaign coffers trumps courageous votes, such as those caste by Arlen Specter
  • When you "threaten" members of Congress, who don't rubber stamp your agenda, with Primary Challenges
  • When you accuse female candidates for high political office of corruption while defending, to the hilt, a corrupt politician
  • When you adopt an "Ends Justify The Means" policy to ensure that at the end of each day YOU WIN
  • When you run your mouth, curtail discussion and refuse to even consider the views of the minority
...It's just a matter of time before YOU ARE THE MINORITY!

Boo! Freaking Hoo!  Mike Turzai is violating your rights!  I can't hardly stand it, it's so poetically right on target!  Now the "Progressives" can - in the words of Ben Franklin - "Repent At Leisure."  Nice work, Guys.  How's that PUSH BACK thing working for yinz?
