Senate $ in a pile

The boyz in the Senate no longer benefit from the presence of Hillary Clinton.  Today, with a mere eight days remaining in 2009, they shoot the coop; AWOL Jim Bunning, (R) Kentucky, goes home for the Holidays to be with his family.  Major League.  When this card, symbolizing Family Connections, is inverted, EYE SEE the sheepish grin of a chicken shit loser who sells out his own mother for a worldly gain.  Walter - 1st spouse - always gave me that face when he broke a promise to me and expected me to just take it in stride.  Trust.  Integrity.  Selfish prick.  Kentucky is all about this vibe...sell it.  Get yours before anybody else, then forget you owe them.

That's a track we needn't go 'round again.  It's Christmas Eve.  Medicare Advantages.  Physician Owned health care insurance.   Citibank repays bail-out, bonuses its Boyz... see the Cheshire grin, Alice?      He don't mean nothin' disrespectful, ...  He knows EWE.

..........................................................................................................................................won't kick his ass.  He'll be sellin' tobacco and whiskey for the New Year's Eve party but can't collect in time for making Christmas for the kids.   So, you know, Mountain Mama:     cover for him and let the Boyz be boyz.  Poverty ain't an accident.    Here's a noogie for Ewel
hey, BABE.

Vogue V. SNL

Still cracking up over the SNL skits - Press Conference in China / 2012.  We're feeling like Pennsylvanians driving our cars up our hills after first rocking them out of the snow drifts.  (It's coming, Oh, Yeah.)  What began as a movement for Womens' Rights has finally levelled onto the plane of balanced forward momentum.  Women's exercises for the strength and flexibility to carry themselves with the poise, dignity and confidance those rights empower.  You can't "hide your stuff."  When you haven't got it, the handicappers see it.

A nice balance is - as I learned on my skates - a force in itself.  After weeks of getting out there and try, try, trying to stay up on them, my reward was crossing the threshhold of the "Limelight" on Piedmont and feeling my spine flex to hold me upright when a momentary mis-step almost levelled me.

Ah! Epiphany.  The

...of Madonna Mixes for extended aerobic effort and learning the pacing and endurance required to develop my skills.  I had arrived at the first plateau of the infinite upward hill climb.  Onward, Ever!

Days later, crossing Piedmont Park enroute to the Skate Escape, a slight waver of my center of balance wreaked a sideways sway that, again, snapped me into upright and then ....  whoosh!  I was moving forward effortlessly at the next speed.  It was a "gear" dropped by angels into my backbone and I went from Ice Cream Truck Driver (If you can't find 'em; grind 'em.) to Sally Ride smoothly maneuvering a space craft.

Getting enough of us up to speed eventually - and inevitably - forces us forward via sheer know how.  Read the history of American Patents and see for yourself how many of our greatest inventions were processed through the unique working system of female inventors.  They don't call "Necessity" MOTHER without respect.  Those of us attending the birth of women into gender equity can take a long view 3 Wands

Each of us is an unique, multi-level processing system through whom the divinity within expresses our best.  Take a moment for yourself and 4 Swords redistribute the competing forces.  Celebrate Thanksgiving with those you love.   As you give thanks for all your blessings, remember your Sisters, especially the Burka-Wearing Middle Eastern ones, who are penetrating the mystique in their own special systematic way.  Page (Daughter) of Pentacles

Daughters / Doubters

Next week when President Obama is in China he’s going to hold a “town-hall” meeting with Chinese citizens. Their first question for Obama is expected to be, “Why would anyone have two daughters?”

...   and feigning disinterest.  Boring as per Carol and CNN... as always, mean girls doing what they do.  Hootie, Tootie, (with the lib-elite accent) "13 of 400 some pages devoted to substance."  The women thing and those of us who related to Hillary recognize it:  that second "X" in the DNA having a girls' night.  Do you preserve your dignity, or do you "blend?"  WASP-reared Obama is so much more their speed.

But it's votes, friends.  The Quakers call their wives "Daughter." and embrace all aspects of the Male/Female relationship.  Cultural.  OK, they don't get Alaskans.  They probably don't hunt (except Karen Hughes & Company ridiculing John Kerry resplendent in Mossy Oak) and they certainly don't "CAMP" as do more Americans than all spectator sports combined.

Let them.  Oprah and company focus on the "Dallas" stuff: fashion, money, jealousy-driven crime... Charlie's Angels stars blew a gasket when Farrah showed up in designer-fitting jeans while they were wearing 'wardrobe' so.... "Who's prettier:  Vanity or Aphrodite?"  Prince fans will remember the competition for "The Artist's" libido...and the radio rock jocks came clean:  "What IS this?  The guy's five feet tall and he's getting laid right and left?  And the women are lining up?

And Gayle.  Oprah, thanks for treating her like another girl,  Barbara: bring on the View.

Still Crackin' Up Over This One

Oops! My Bad...Chicken WASTE. (Thank you Terry McAuliff, for your dignified style)

The Baseball fan in me over-took the political reflector, briefly.  But this morning's MoJo revisited "Gov. Terry" and his campaign innovation centered on turning the polution that ravages the Chesapeak into the fuel to power the light in Virginia homes. .  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D14s42rL4UM&

On the same segment, Mika lent a woman's voice of support to Savannah Guthrie for stepping up during her one-on-one interview by calling out the President on his basketball game / networking opportunity with a Boys' Only Night at the White House.  In the words of ObaMAO's Foreign Policy advisor's daughter, The Campaign staff was invited to play B-Ball with the MSNBC morning crew - and inasmuch as THAT game has yet to hit the court, Brzynski concludes:  "They're Scared."

It's that Beat the Girl thing...and we are getting another whiff of Chicago Street Thug style of how the President's MEN "play the game."
  1. WE Won, WE'LL Call the tune.
  2. Women, as we demonstrated in the Primaries and post VP announcement, just can't play.
  3. Don't be lookin' for Gentlemen around here.  We're Professional GUYS.
  4. Pay Attention, XX's: we'll let you suggest the rules, but look out for the FOWLERS...we have every intention of playing our strengths - cutting you out prior to the National Anthem - whatever it takes.  Expect the males of this country to join ranks.  On this matter; we are fearless, because we'll bet the White House that women WON'T.
The Boys of Fannie Mae, Goldman Sachs, the inner city... SOME women in this country legitimately FIND WAYS to survive financially.  They trace their paper, monitor accounts and find creeps like Charlie Rangle and OMG! John Edwards, hiding out in the macho.

Arrogance & Cozy.  The late Anna Nichole Smith said it best:  "Freakin' Genius."  about a jerk who proceeded to step on a Grammy Winner's acceptance.  Class.  The "Women's Nation" series on the Morning Joe show takes a drawlin' view of the Shriver Report.  ... when the discussion doesn't degenerate into a man's joke, I'll view the clips.

Expect the hit.  Prepare to field it.  Don't look for sisters to defend you.  My experience has taught me that the Gay Men will be there for you first.  Only in the prospect of being thus shown up, will the Guys get it.

Boys Club
... really means the instrument by which the beat-down is issued. WHO'S the Barracuda? Tip Off...Let Women on the White House Basketball court and Rogue gets her shot. I'll sell tickets, advertising and T Shirts. C'mon. http://sarahbarracuda.com/

Wiki Pootie says she 'earned her nickname for her competitive streak' and in the next sentence, notes she went to college to major in communications and become a sportscaster.  Again, experience competing straight up with men teaches things you won't learn in the typing pool.  Word to yer sista;  let a winner show you how to beat these guys ... or is that what yer scaird of?
November 16: Oprah entertains the Author of "Going Rogue" and the EYES of Womankind will be scrutinizing how the South Carolina Swing follows up chin music with "Sorry, Charlie." Oprah and Sarah can, maybe, run together before the show (does Oprah still run?) and size each other up...(I think I just 'got" what that expression really means!)

Sisters: He EARNED It!

Woke up Friday morning and the TV was replaying the previous evening's O'Reilly Factor on Fox. Bill-O had queued up the story of what BO the pup did on AF-1. I was just "waking up" when Brian Kilmead of Fox & Friends broke in a few minutes early to announce that President Obama had been awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace.

The universal response, - it became evident almost immediately, - was:

"For WHAT?"

I had to get up and crank the coffee, grab the remote and check in with Morning Joe to get the View from the Cheerleaders. Scarboro and Mark Halpern were comparing it to Marissa Tomei winning the Oscar for My Cousin Vinnie. Joe made the point that Tomei had done far more to earn the Oscar, guaranteed.

I looked up the design of the prize and can attest, for the doubters, that President Obama did, indeed, win the Peace Prize as it was intended by Alfred Nobel.

DLS commented over at the Moderate Voice, "...As to the American people, as I've written, this Prize was mis-directed; given the actual timing of the decision, the American Voter should be the recipient, for voting a black American into the Presidency (the relevent question to the feminists now being, Would the award be given if Hillary Clinton has been elected, instead, or is Obama personality cult and idolatry too much in effect here, too?). As I also have written, it's still not too late for Time Lite to select the US Voter as "Person of the Year" to properly honor him and her."

(Especially those of us who saw our votes dismissed in June, 2008.) The really important contribution made by Barack Hussein Obama, is to let men all over the world sleep nights for keeping the uppity women out of the Oval one more time.

The reverse shows three naked men embracing one another - a symbol of the international fraternization that Nobel wished to contribute to through the Peace Prize.

Maybe the "brothers" took the brotherhood thing too literally, or maybe the sisters have just found another speedbump on the road to the Whitehouse. I'm nothing if not a good sport, and the "Winner" in me responded the way I'd like to be received if such a prize were "handed to me." OK, is this their way of telling us: "Be Careful What You Wish For?" Life teaches us all that it is real Challenge, Adversity and Proving Ourselves that brings out the greatness in each of us. He'll need our support if he's going to do us proud after this. Funny, all the calls for School Kids and bold progressives to 'help President Obama' didn't strike me as my patriotic duty as much as this. He REALLY needs all the help he can get. Our job as citizen-journalists is to challenge him respectfully, to cheer him on through all adversity and when he proves himself, be the first to give credit where credit is due. Patriots: let us affirm that the Job, here, will truly make The MAN. Humbling has that effect. Carrying that "seal" around will process all the lightweight ore outta him and make a gentleman of him. (I bet he keeps a chatroom to Bill Clinton always on that blackberry.)

You go, guys!

Can O's pitch score 2-fer: Olympic Nod & Passage of ERA?

Illinois remains among states that have failed to ratify ERA.

Both Oprah and Obama are pushing Chicago for the Olympics. Connect Title IX, which has made it possible for US Women to win their share of gold, and patriotism.

States like Georgia and Utah, where recent Olympic gold has been mined, proudly stand with Illinois in the rejection of equal rights for their female citizens.

The President announced today that he will tag along with the Mrs, Winfrey and tear-jerkers to Sweden for the IOC presentation.
Click here: Michelle Obama's Olympic bid: Kleenex: The Swamp

There is a sort of Connection / Disconnection here. If the possible passage of the Equal Rights Amendment were tied to the Olympic Sponsorships, might the Land of Lincoln lead the Country on the final march to Freedom NOW?

When They Ain't Bullshit, They're Chicken Shit

All Obama All The Time! ... The Prex was everywhere (almost) he could bend an ear yesterday ...
... except on Fox. Some campaign advisor (Axlehat?) chose to pass on the news agency that outdraws ALL THE OTHER NETWORKS COMBINED!!! Maybe because her message was always respectful, consistent and out front, Hillary Clinton had the confidance and courage to sit down and exchange ideas with Dick Scaiffe and Company (the vast right wing conspiracy foundation) AND Bill O'Reilley, the Bold Fresh Piece Of Humanity whose respect for WOMANKIND was engendered in him via a Catholic School education; the Nuns and the Community. In my years of selling, I learned one strategy for getting my message out: reach. Unlike weighing the cost-effectiveness of advertising on the news station with the biggest ratings, the White House messaging unit was faced with the decision of which of the FREE ACCESS outlets would best take their tide-turning message to the largest audience. The news program drawing that audience which represents the most skeptical, most readily turned-around potential new supporters, as opposed to preaching to the choire as it were... So ... do you go to the network you routinely bash by name in your own appearances on the networks that openly love you? Or ... do you take a shot on reaching an entirely NEW MARKET with that venue?

Might we get back to Professional Conduct of the Nation's Business? Do those of us who are participants in the process actually have someplace else to go? I can only reference the dumb-as-dirt response from the pre-election Obama Camp. Floods and fires serve as their reality alerts to all the alternatives available to the disenfranchised.

After setting the partisan world afire with speechified foolishness, the fourth estate (lower case deliberate) must now flood the scene of their crimes of omission of their journalistic responsibilities with a watered down version of the White House pitch coming from the hand-picked heir to the Kennedy Mystique. In political circles, that's known as running it up the flagpole to see who salutes.

Flagging Air Puppets Up

Sunday Morning News paydirt this weekend, for all the Hillary-sabataging round tables conducted last year. Their attention-grabbing scheme required a larger-than-life COOL guy they could put out there and animate. He could make the skies open with his speaking style, inspiring and hiring fans.

Thus September winds to a close, and they're expecting to shut these things down...Ocktoberfest on deck, y'know. So, on with the show! Spammin' the health care overhaul nobody needs 'n@.

Hacking Insurance

I hear about the single payer health care concept, the price we pays for the good ol' days is washed up hippies chasing those hours they spent out of it. My dfa 'buddy', Lou, is the product of Delphi methodist frogs in a small pond.

Commenting from what are the most incredibly insulting positions, Lou reveals a lot of what he don't know. Trying to tell black guys they don't is only a problem in the insurance business. Fire 'em up and get ready for a ride, guys. Those crazy Viet Nam era draft dodgers are back. They be crazy... (and creepy)

I cannot locate the parable about the money changer who greased the cup used in counting so that coins would stick and be held back. The grease isn't needed. Power cannot truly pass through us without generating a buzz that doesn't miss.

Slowing it down, diverting or posessing it- is, frankly, an oxymoron. Conduit consciousness conducts us. Power, itself, corrupts. When will they learn? As they pass by me on their way outta here.

MoJo Puts it Clearly

This morning, Joe Scarborough gave me the most solid list yet to express what kind of reform the voters want and would support:

Not Health Care Reform,

but

Consumer Protection

in a bill that addresses these elements favored by most of us who are willing to pay for our health insurance, rightfully expecting value for our contributions and reasonable stability of our liabilities.

1. My insurance cannot drop me for reaching some arbitrarily derived threshhold.
2. My children can stay on the family policy until the age of 25.
3. If I get fired, or otherwise lose the employment to which my health care insurance is tied, I won't be charged exorbitant costs for COBRA that expires in 18 months.
4. My insurance, once established, will follow me for three years.

Each of these elements address the true issues

consumers actually have with their coverage not the
problems with health care itself.

Rather than villifying Insurance Companies, I wish to make a stand-up statement about them that is fostered by the respect acquired through my work with them. Wall Street and the Government programs notwithstanding, Insurance Companies' funds pool has been the financial source of much of this country's economy. If not for insurance policies on the consumer, banks wouldn't loan you the cash to purchase an automobile or a home. Sure, the bank is fronting the risk of your keeping your word and making all the installment payments on your car. But in addition to the threat of repossion, the Bank also goes to good ol' American Security Insurance Corporation and purchases a two dollar per month insurance policy to back itself up and adds that to the cost of your loan. You pay the premium as the debtor, but the Bank owns the policy and collects the equivalent of the balance on YOUR loan if you default. Your company life insurance, the liability on your property, even the dental plan for preventive care you wish you had, are all regulated by the States in which they do business. The Federal Government is not in the position to make universal regulations affecting health insurance.

President Obama is slummin' with the folks who continue to support him as he lets them in on his "thought processing" about his (and by extension, their) political enemies. He targets those hard working Americans employed in the vast insurance administration business, who are on the job year in and year out finding better ways to build their communities into the kind of places where they can earn an honest living doing business among the neighbors and projects they fund.

I'm sick of being talked down to by a too cool critic who is clueless about the amount of work that goes into the management of an Insurance Company. Like the hospitals they reimburse, these Americans are 24/7/356 at the wheel. Fair business practices and quality products are their bread and butter. AIG and the Wall Street cronies who looted the pool should be hearing his denigrating remarks. The folks seated behind him at the Town Hall meetings are foil for sound-bytes. He dredges up his old rival for the fad-of-the-moment adulation he briefly ceded to Sarah Palin before his junkyard dogs "took care of her." By their approving applause and demeaning laughter, his "peeps" show they agree that the August vapors make disposable citizens all

"Wee wee." Jeez! I love how the Left glorifies their chosen one for his tough Chicago Style, hard knuckle politics and sees no loss of dignity when their boy gets down with them and drives home the unsavory JOB they've been doing.
Instead, why is he not focusing unflattering dirision - in detail - on those individuals who first violated their insurance business licenses by mismanaging the funds, then took obscene bonuses from the rescue moneys coughed up in the name of the very taxpayers they've robbed?

Ed Rendell HOUNDS the Mobsters as "Crazies"

I never thought much more of Beck and O'Reilly than I did of Matthews and Olbermann. But, I borrowed the Audio book of Bill-o's "Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity" from the library and listened to it when I was driving. I found it to be a reflection of the people educated in Catholic Schools. Little did I expect to understand so much or laugh so loudly. Direct TV News Mix on channel 102 or 352 show eight news channels at once, CNN, Headline News, Bloomberg, CNBC, MSNBC, Fox Business, Fox News, and the Weather Channel. you can monitor the screens and tune in the sound on whichever you want. I compare the coverage and find real differences. For example, Fox treats the town hall incidents as news. NBC lumps all the protestors into the 'birther, crazies, republican sponsored.' Rendell was even on there today saying the "Majority of Americans are going to be turned off by these crazies, and are going to stand up and be heard." News Flash, Eddie, tea baggers birthers and protestors ARE the majority of Americans. It left me wondering why I've put myself in uncomfortable positions defending him. The very people he's describing are the ones who voted for him. What these people want is information in a language they can process with relevance and results they can see as the direct result of the actions our leadership takes. They want it paced responsibly, without the stampeding and doomsday predictions of the terrible things that will happen if we don't pass them RIGHT NOW!!! when the terrible things happen anyway! They simply do not believe they are getting straight answers. They don't appreciate being denigrated, dismissed and defamed when they question. They saw Obama pledge with McCain to accept the public financing for his campaign. He swore he'd filibuster FISA, then voted FOR it. He campaigned on the lily pure assurance that lobbyists would not run his white house, then both his first and second appointments were lobbyists. All records of his work at Occidental, Columbia and Harvard are sealed: we can't even read his dissertations or Harvard Law Review editions. So everything adds up to a person who we are to believe on his word, who has repeatedly failed to keep his word once he's in the position required by trust. It is little mystery that these people are "nuts" - they are the classic victims of deception!

My closest comparison is a bad boyfriend who makes a date with you, and after you've turned down other appealing offers, stands you up. Or the spouse whose affair is common knowledge to your social circle, yet NOBODY tells you the truth, they change the subject, clam up or your trusted friends pretend not to know about it. People are uneasy because the things that are happening do not correspond to the promises that were made, nor do they reflect traditional American values.

We sat through years of these people disrupting meetings, led by Kreiss who challenged and denigrated our efforts. They were roused to attend the meetings by the very people who were funding the illegal activities that victimized our good faith efforts. We were called liars and fascists, shouted down, hissed and subjected to interruption whenever we spoke. The blog they posted savaged our reputations, yet they carried on like babies when exposed. The footnote I have attached to my signature is from Roberts Rules of Order. Five of us voted against the suspension of the rules to elect Larry chairman, yet our votes were dismissed and the minutes say he was unanimously elected. There was no discussion because we had no quorum and felt no need to engage, yet badda-bing! They didn't have a quorum, but they had a majority, so they forced themselves in. And Larry assures them that the State Committee will back him up! Instead of finding common ground, we find constantly shifting rock underfoot where nothing can grow or be built. The Tea Party people are Americans who have heard enough, seen for themselves and made up their minds to doubt the media and the Administration. Good salespeople recognize these gestures as an invitation to up-sell. They're missing it. Instead, they inflame the voters with personal insults to their intelligence thus bringing ever more protestors to the street. That filibuster proof majority is a curse on both our houses. Rendell acknowledges that he has never seen this level and intensity of rage.

"The fundamental right of deliberative assemblies require all questions to be thoroughly discussed before taking action! The assembly rules - they have the final say on everything! Silence means consent!"*
*Roberts Rules of Order

So, if you don't want to be taken advantage of just because you reserve comment as a gesture of restraint, let it fly! Either way, YOU'RE pickin' up the tab.

The Empire Says: "We Double-Dare You!"

Chicago tactics fall short. Accomplished diplomats burnish the façade, but fail to justify Obama's rapid rise through the ranks predicated on the willingness to violate rights. Where's the elected Win / Win approach?

"If they hit, we hit back twice as hard."
"If they bring a knife to a street fight, we bring a gun."
Such thuggish language! You need your mouth washed out with soap.
You cannot possibly hear and see yourselves, or you'd tighten up and observe WORK ZONE RULES!!! We evolve as reviewers of Presidential Leadership.

The White House is the seat of Constitutional Law Enforcement. The pyramid of power peaks at the Oval Office, yet its occupant resorts to street-level consciousness and the bully pulpit. We the People expect our President to undertake the exercises that legitimize and build consensus.

The DNC Рtaken over by the AxelPunks and moved to Chicago, served as the template for these M̦B tactics. Overtly aggressive operatives were delivered by Obama campaign buses to disrupt, commandeer and, yes, rig (known in low level mob circles as Game) the 2008 Caucuses.

The Blog Rolls of the Just Say No Deal Coalition testified to the tactics of suppression leveled at Pro-Hillary posters on such sites as Daily Kos. Scandalized, shocked and utterly unprepared to meet with such un-American violence of our first amendment rights, the mantra, “Country before Party!” synchronized rebellion. Holding the Democratic Party Accountable was the mission. And now we hear our principles; abandoned during the Primaries, preached against the very level of public misconduct we were shown. We demanded; “Where is Obama? Where is the Leadership? Why has he not spoken out against this unacceptable conduct from his supporters?” Underground entities – practiced in secrecy and espionage – HOPE to intimidate a free people into compliance. Ayers, Wright, Acorn were explained away. "No Drama" Obama, who then remained 'above the fray', now appears - daily- donning Nixonian bluster, to force what he is unable to sell.

Bots, paid to troll pro-Clinton sites, did as coached. Piranha Schooled, they swarmed and consumed political opponents. You are what you eat. Social experiment in the Presidency is disorder. LBJ, elevated by an act of unspeakable violence, was the quintessential demonstration of just what NOT to do.

We are bemused. The Obots exploded into the consciousness of patrons of change, billed as new “Sopranos.” Knowledgeable Opera fans heard for themselves and had their doubts. Opera, Italian for work, was never documented by these pretenders. Where was the score for reviewers to follow? Where were the notes indicative of original composition? They were all sealed from review. Scholars were forbidden access to any of the early works by which we evaluate and substantiate the influence and genius of the untested, unproven freshman Senator, endorsed for his ‘leadership,’…. Study Group colleagues are neither identified nor interviewed. We have, on the other hand, the transcripts of Hillary Clinton’s college day speeches, documentation of her activism and corroboration by her contemporaries.

It’s Violence against our Spirits, not violins in those unique cases; a mob of pretenders to Executive Office using tactics of intimidation to assert their half-baked concepts. Concerned Citizens, alarmed by inexplicable haste, concerned by recent admissions of having "Mis-read" the severity of problems, reject the ruse “Urgency of Now.” They are driven to crazed outbursts by the continued gestures of dismissive contempt from their own representatives! The message they bring to their Town Hall meeting is; "Read the Bill!" "Let us look at it together. We're not here to be told what you want us to believe, to be spun and judged incapable of self-determination."

On display is the Audacity of Incompetence, sloppy research, failure to communicate. We who actually work at our jobs are neither impressed nor convinced by these occupants of the Agencies of the People. We expected to find them undertaking actual Work, as the BUSINESS OF THE PEOPLE prescribes. Throughout a six month review period, we’ve indulged trial-and-error-chaos, having seen none of the touted superior judgment and leadership we were assured would shine through.

At Town Hall meetings, we, the owners of this country, express disappointment and disapproval, urging a change in the approach, not the System!

The School Board steps in; the Stock holders, who have become mere “bag-holders,” demand supervision of these first time Administrators pending a successfully completed probationary performance. Did we not pass over a qualified, experienced commodity at the urging of these young cult leadership pitch people?

“Oh Captain, My Captain!” Whitman’s ode to fallen President Lincoln, suggests, perhaps a game changer. While the Media and DNC have adopted the Chicago Style of citation, it may actually be appropriate to cite via the AMA Style. http://en.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Cite&page=O_Captain!_My_Captain!&id=776898.

Do surgical candidates want the medical student who is tops in his class, or the surgeon who has performed in the operating theatre under the scrutiny of accomplished performing providers?

The town hall mobsters are saying: “We're making you an offer you cannot refuse!”
Tables turn.

We’ve objectively observed the tactics of this crowd. We are hearing the bases of our own complaints, dismissed in the primaries, now being righteously recycled as their defense. The "Mobs" reject deaf D.C. insiders, social climbers posing as journalists and fugitives from justice launching political careers. Put the workhorse in its rightful place: before the bandwagon.

What the Health Care Reformer presents is perceived as clear and present danger to the Citizenry. Incapable of reassuring us, the Aristocratic Citizen of the World ratchets up name-calling, threats and the Bully Pulpit. The mis-named Mobsters reject their Representatives’ failure to represent them. They represent themselves, responding in kind, to the tactics used against them. These were the same less-educated, downscale voters Obama's campaign tried to buy with newspaper endorsements in Appalachia. He had the opportunity to hear these people out and understand their needs during the campaigns, but hid, instead, behind the Race card.

Town hall meetings are intended to be an exchange. The Citizenry has observed a collapse of our financial system, the corruption of our political system and the hijacking of our Fourth Estate by special interests. We arrive ‘ginned up’ for the bullies we have learned by experience to confront. We demand that our President present Health Care ideas clearly, patiently and respectfully. People who aren't normally disposed to attend these meetings can no longer trust that their interests are being represented. Taking personal responsibility for their future, the urgency of now has shifted to "Now hear this!"

Let’s all get up and dance to a song
That was a hit before your mother was born,
Though she was born a long, long time ago,
Your mother should know,
Know-ow
Your mother should know.
Know-ow
Sing it again! McCartney-Lennon

These very Congress People, Super Delegates trusted to provide a grown-up’s sensibility to the nominating process, got their guy.

OK, you won; get over it! The Election is history. You’re on the clock, now. Get serious!

Saturday, August 1, 2009

Add this to the pile already on the camel's back, and it shouldn't be long before the "straw" that breaks it drops. I'm in a little wrestling match with the County Committee again. They scheduled a meeting to elect a new chairman for last night, but failed to get a quorum. Undaunted, they moved to go ahead and elect the unopposed nominee anyway, and dismissed the bylaws by a voice vote. When they heard a few "no's," they counted a show of hands for no's only, and a mere 5 of us were expecting to observe our own rules of order. I had to reflect on the irony of these "by the book" by-laws thumpers making such an overt power grab. Even more ironic, is that the alledged power of this organization is zero, due to their capricious practice of only observing the rules that serve their agenda of the moment.
In submitting letters of resignation, those Committee People who have left, cited the organization's failure to conduct business in the atmosphere of respectful consideration of one another and regard for their reputations. The remaining participants are either ignorant of or indifferent toward procedures and protocol by which all in attendance are singing from the same hymnal. aa

Blues Offer Clues

In Blue's Clues' Dawg house, animated puppy, Blue, helps find three clues to something they are trying to figure out. Viewers are invited to participate, with Blue and her friends stopping to listen to what the audience has to say.

My own Congressman, Pennsylvania's 4th, Jason Altmire, leads the list (alphabetically) and I did support him because of his knowledge of the health care lobby, among other things. He voted against the stimulus initially, but in the end, Pelosi was "convincing" enough to kick him in. He held out 'til Pelosi's PAC came across with twelve grand to give his Super Delegate vote to Obama. What's that you say, Viewer?

MSNBC - Engorged MoJo

Dear Pat was thwarted by Carl Bernstein each time he tried to make a civil comment about Sarah Palin. Pat showed discretion, courtesy and congeniality, Bernstein stepped all over him with crude put-downs of Palin, steeped in deliberate insults to the intelligence of both the Female Phenom and anybody who gives her the courtesy of a listen. Bernstein interrupted Buchannan's every attempt to balance the presented view points. One concludes:

Bernstein is Femme-Phobic!

The MoJo crew throws back Starbuck's Espresso Latte blends.

...can anyone find last week's Kismet moment where Jonathan Capehart made the ill-timed remark:

as the director cut to him following a clip of Obama speaking?

Regarding Over-Exposure

Reconciliation follows making asses of ourselves.

The media’s job of the moment is to work through the serious departure from their purpose to show their bloopers.

Seeing themselves, all glammed up with the trappings of the majors, they recognize what a waste of resources it is to sustain them.

High Maintenance: best reserved for the Paris Hiltons and Saddam Husseins of the world. Their presence is poison. Their free rides at the country’s expense constitute parodies as News People Gone Wild.

No longer satisfied with the catbird seat at conventions and media events, their voracious greed for face time (to the mutual benefit of the reporter AND his network) feeds on the same status gratis used by Don Rumsfeld and Dick Cheyney: Cash Cow Taxpayer - huh?

A limmerick from an old professor, (Don) Joe Francis, Lit Bomb:
There was a young lad from Saint Johns,
... Had a penchant for buggering swans,
The obliging Head Porter said:
Please! Take my daughter...,
…the swans are reserved for the dons.”

To fully appreciate, you had to hear it with the English accent. Standing 'round the tap at the Golden Eagle, we rattled our own rib cages with the hilarity of folks who take themselves seriously.

Evil exists in the world for comparitive purposes only. If we couldn't see how bad we can be, we'd hardly be motivated to improve. To those with too much to lose, VALUES must be re-evaluated.

Are the designer shoes, photo-ops over NYC and showing off success really getting the attention of those you hope to woo? Are they, perhaps, showing too much skin, showing such little respect for themselves that piranha like Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod feast on them?

When the "compromising" footage of them is viewed through the prism of their self-determined destruction, they'll have true authority to evaluate the job they and their OOA (Object of Attention)have done.

The Ability To Focus: A Quality of True Leadership

A Prime Time Press Conference, OSTENSIBLY called to place Health Care Legislation front and center was, in the end, derailed and sensationalized by the President. Crazies, LED BY THE PRESIDENT attack the officer yet condone the intemperence of an out-of-control, hootie, tootie Harvard Professor. The 'if that were a white man' cacophony has DISPLACED COMPLETELY the focus on health care legislation for which normal television schedules were pre-empted.

Any reasonable homeowner appreciates prompt response to a call to investigate a burgulary report! The Officer encountered an individual representing himself as the homeowner, pompously declaring that he was a distinguished, highly paid professional, but who behaved as a disrespectful, disruptive, angry bully! In the responding officer's experience, an innocent resident forced to break into his own home by a maintenance issue is sheepish and reassuring. Instead, the Officer, bound by duty to protect and defend, was confronted by a hostile attempt to prevent the investigation. Professor Gates twisted the police call into a RACIST confrontation. His demeanor - under the circumstances - didn't add up to what the trained, experienced Policeman customarily finds IN THAT NEIGHBORHOOD. Though he claimed to be a distinguished Harvard Professor, a resident of this secure Cambridge community, he makes an uproarious accusation against the very professional counterpart of his who is there to protect his property.

A legitimate home-owning citizen, AT HOME IN HIS NEIGHBORHOOD would have calmly assured the Officer that he appreciated the diligence, promptness and professionalism with which the department responded, and IN RETURN, would treat the public servant - sworn to protect and defend him - with THE SAME PROFESSIONALISM! To me, a cranky old guy's hair-trigger outburst insulting me at an emotional level threatening to alarm the neighbors says:
SOMETHING IS UP HERE. Is a perp holding a gun on the homeowner to get rid of the cop?

I say to the President ..."Experience has taught me ..." and here's a poor waaht girl's experience through which I filter the incident:

At Kaufmann's, a team of shoplifters loudly disciplining their child, once created an urgent situation as a distraction to imbalance me - the $6 dollar/ hour sales clerk trained to respect the CUSTOMER. This woman simply picked up a $450.00 Croscill bedding set FROM THE SHELF IN MY DEPARTMENT and plunked it down on my counter asserting that it had been a gift. She had neither shopping bag nor receipt, but she wanted to return it for the money. Snapping her fingers, she demanded that I speed it up because she "didn't have time." She raised a rukus, kept yelling at the 4 year old child and accomplice, pitching a fit that I wasn't working quickly enough to ring up her return. My manager came on the scene, gave the woman a store credit in the amount of the FULL, not SALE price of the item, and after 20 minutes of work, the thieves walked out of the store with paper that represented more value in my employer's store, THAN I EARNED IN A MONTH! A "perk" of my job was the employee discount processed via store credit card, but my income didn't qualify me for an account. That is to say, my employer wouldn't issue me credit for items I purchased in their store, when they could have readily deducted it from my paycheck. Instead, they issued a prepay card so that I could pay cash in advance of a purchase on my account then go to the department, pretend to purchase the item on my credit card and receive the employee 'discount' at the end of the month as credit on my account. Kaufmann's Associates were held to a strict dress code. Nonetheless, we were required to pick up the slack for the downsized housekeeping staff by climbing on ladders in heels and dress clothes to dust our displays while customers looked up our skirts. The Security Director, who had closed circuit cameras trained on my work station once stopped me leaving the store with a bag of dust rags I was taking home for laundering after my shift. On the selling floor, he detained me while he RUMMAGED THROUGH THE DUST RAGS expecting to catch me shoplifting, in the presence of my customers! Point of Personal Privelege!! Am I a trusted professional, or am I the unwitting foil for authority figures violating my trust with a slick spin? Months later, that security director was arrested for the theft of $85,000.00 worth of electronics his partners boosted out the freight exit while they were supposedly minding the store.

The President's response to the final question of the Press Conference, purportedly staged to focus on the President's priority; Health Care Reform, successfully eclipsed the Health Care issue. Emotional, heated outbursts fueled unfounded accusations of racism. In my view, it was Gates who was grossly unprofessional. The President manufactured a distraction. In my experience, the reciprocity of professional courtesy is the common ground upon which we work. We achieve results via civil exchange. How do you, another "Professional" get in my face and call me names, insult me and bring up the history of race relations when I'm there as a professional public servant, risking my own security, to defend yours????

Gates: YOU FIGHT LIKE A WOMAN!!!

Obama: So much for your health care message. Once again, you managed to make it all about race, inflame the media and your racially charged minions, to take the heat off yourself for your poor leadership.

Discrimination. Obama’s speech to the NAACP

Discrimination. – how discrimination based on color
1. Remains Both ways (not acknowledged)

Discrimination against women: Not of color
Although they initially appeal to all women who relate to the need for support, initially draw in all those who suffer the insufferable, ask contributions from all those with limited resources to support the movement, which then, somehow Morphs into “No Whites” or “Women Of Color First!”

Working poor, who’ve chosen to labor for and earn a living:

Refuse Public Assistance and contribute value for economic existence
2. Each day engaged in activities that contribute to the very churches and Family oriented communities to which they cling.
3. Recognize the basic reason to protect 2nd Amendment Right to bear arms

Not gay/ not affiliated with elites, except as servers
1. While racial discrimination exists, we question the inverse: The wealthy and honorable economic leaders employed professionals of color to manage and maintain their homes and properties, children and records.
2. Plantation slaves vs “Free” Women who sustain discrimination against the sexist attitudes, are forced to be mothers and employees; yet fight the good fight

Obama's recommendations to black parents to put away the X Box, put the kids to bed at a reasonable hour, attend Parent-Teacher conferences, read to their Children, help the kids with their homework … it seems to me that those are ALL THE THINGS the working class white as well as people of color who respect hard work, DO! In the exchange, they accept a simpler but dignified existence in return for safe, healthy communities secure in their downscale lifestyles. They organize and participate in their children’s youth leagues, attend High School sports events for their female as well as male children. At their OWN EXPENSE through their church, they maintain the discipline of parochial schools, cutting fringes and salaries in the face of declining enrollment. While public schools complain of disadvantages, school boards raise taxes to compensate teachers who strike. Provincial American families must always be supporting fundraisers to supplement tuition. I was such a child, always going door to door appealing to my neighbors to purchase greeting cards, candy, raffle tickets…Much like the tellers at the race tracks’ hundred dollar windows, they wouldn’t even put down their papers to answer their doors. “What Are You Selling?” they’d grumble. “We don’t want any.” Another thing I saw on these door-to-door solicitations were entire families, gathered in the living room with candles lit, praying the Rosary, praying for Peace. I saw the daughters in the kitchens, with Mothers, doing dishes, sweeping the kitchen floors, shaking out the rugs, storing left-overs and taking out the trash first separated into compost and recyclables.
My own brothers hauled a red wagon full of Sunday papers for miles because, in our farming community, homes were dotted along the rural landscape, sometimes miles apart. When “Hazel” five miles up the road, called complaining that the paper wasn’t there yet, the snow that impeded their progress on the unplowed back roads was no excuse for the crossword puzzle being late. Dad would get out in the family station wagon to assist. Years later, working in “retention’ at the Trib, I was counseled to expect little in the urban communities where, because it is difficult to get carriers, we overlook the poor customer service rendered by those who delivered the paper in the “disadvantaged” communities. We too often had to send a district manager out to deliver on Sunday mornings because the route had been abandoned. Our churches had to implement Saturday services that fulfilled your Sunday Worship “obligation” to allow our congregation to have a life. These entrepreneurs were discouraged by the encounters with violent thugs and thieves. Their “disadvantaged” customers LOOKED THE OTHER WAY. Hate rules those communities.

Where the ‘lower class’ clingy types dwell, anything different is said to be rejected. A closer look reveals that they earn and maintain each others’ trust by being together and keeping with what they know. Those they don’t know, just the same, have the opportunity to show up and join them, break down the barriers by being one of them: not expecting to just appear and talk AT them every election cycle. Where are these know-it-alls when we seek sponsors for the kids’ soccer teams, the funds to keep the local pool or Rec center open? I’ve known protestant – even “Anti-Catholic” neighbors, who put their kids in the catholic schools whose teachers, not the beneficiaries of public school unionized teachers’ strikes, keep their schools open, support egalitarian standards with parent volunteers, school uniforms and religious education.

When the Gays push in to force the Boy Scouts to let them be counselors at camps, the mothers and fathers, already burned by the closed clerical community that victimized their children, are understandably reluctant to support the United Way.

The Community - float

Marauders Map - written by and for the Raider, looter, the prowler, intruder

Days of Time-turners, Horcrux and spells are upon us. Tuesday, at Midnight, the Alternative Universe enters another level: The Half-Blood Prince (minus sub plot) rings in July 15, 2009 with “all the kids” on hand.

Albus Dumbledore of the purple velvet suit (and we needed JK to articulate the belief that he’d always been gay?) nurses an injured hand, weakened by the ring of family jewels. The Penseive Tour; a memory-stocked fountain, an underground Inferi-hoarding lake, and depot the history of the Soul of Tom Riddle.

A marathon, for now, of the Harry Potter series movies: abc family obliges. Replays of the triumph (or corroboraton of) the mind of Jo Rawling and special effects.
Anything one can vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe and enthusiastically act upon, MUST; Inevitably, come to pass.

Today, for the first time in several years - since I reclaimed my time from the Democrats, in fact...I was on my skates. The babies on rollers in Evian Ad Int'l revived the receiver as filament to a tuning fork; Called in another direction; Onward ever!

Step to Your Alternative Universe

My dear CountryWomen:

Doing the route to get to the burn is the journey, not the destination. We're not fighting for the right to get into the boyz club.

We're selling a viable alternative. We're not here to put them out of business; just finding our niche in the market. Leave them to their own devices and work the ones who are ready.

Improperly motivated, intimidated men do what they believe necessary to "get the girl." It's always a putch for the testosterone-driven. Reason comes to them with maturity. It is each woman's challenge to navigate the subtleties that will contribute to that progress.

Wisteria's Money Makin' Sis

Innocently enough, I thought I might find a list of Senators from Pennsylvania at Wikipedia and began my morning with a rare FLASH.

My first impression was that this item might have been written by Jon FaVreau, speech writer for Obama described last December by the same operation that floated the Cash for Access Salons, WAPO.
"Especially now, as Favreau and the rest of Obama's young staffers begin a transition that extends far beyond new job titles. Three months ago, Favreau lived in a group house with six friends in Chicago, where he rarely shaved, never cooked and sometimes stayed up to play video games until early morning. Now, he has transformed into what one friend called a "Washington political force" -- a minor celebrity with a down payment on a Dupont Circle condo, whose silly Facebook photos with a Hillary Rodham Clinton cutout created what passes for controversy in Obama's so far drama-free transition."

...this isn't about graduating from the Frat House, it's just about moving, funding and institutionalizing it. I get the impression that Wiki featured this "Piece" to fuel the fun the guys are having at the Palin family's expense. To be sure, those same young women who wore the t shirt will share the jokes and whoop it up in true college style. Those of us who've acquired self respect as the result of reflecting upon our own embarrasiing missteps might relate. It was in an interview where "No Excuses" cheek model, Donna Rice, admitted that by the time she had seen her life unravel as the result of her encounter with a presidential candidate, the worst part was how she'd let her mother and female relatives down. Men need women to civilize them, honorable love elevates them.

I keep getting back to Sara Palin. A model existence as a family woman with no scandal, no questionable associations, sincere ethics...

jeesh!

"WOMEN COUNT" Counts only PROGRESSIVES

Posted by: SWPAnnA @ 05:57PM on July 08 2009 in response to a WOMEN COUNT article from WC Executive Director,Stacy Mason about recently resigned Governor Sara Palin.

"So the lesson of her abrupt and unexpected departure – and the fallout from it – is simple: We need more women in office. So run for office. Vote for women who run. Support women who run. Another way to help: Support WomenCount’s work to promote women in politics."

"And read our other blog posts about Palin. http://womencount.org/blog/blog_detail/2009-07-defining-women-and-the-enigma-of-sarah-palin
Comment and add your voice to the dialogue!"

Comment:
You're not wrong to take this position, but; for WOMEN, you're not right.

Palin represents everything feminists said they wanted for women; a supportive husband whose commitment allows her to be her best, a beautiful family that, through her partnership with the First Dude, she has balanced with her public service. She has taken on the establishment and won the people’s hearts. She’s knowledgeable about Energy at a level few men are at a time when that skill set is urgently needed in the decision-making process.

Until one woman, ANY woman is elected President of the United States, women will not seek office in significant numbers, because her OWN SISTERS, who have everything to gain by getting it DONE will find an excuse to withhold their support. I signed up for this group because I THOUGHT it represented me. You sent an email inviting me to a gathering that was SUPPOSED to be for women, but it somehow morphed into a backdoor trick to line up volunteers for Obama.

When he had the opportunity to name Hillary Clinton Vice President, or to even support her candidacy, he and his wife put all their energy into bringing her down, not just winning the nomination. "That urgency of Now" meme was the frosting on the proverbial cake. Your organization went from being about women to being another Democratic Party back room deal to give women all the unpaid work they can handle, then yank them out of consideration when there is power to be exercised. That doesn't say "Progressive" to me, that says; "Macciavelli."

John McCain put his money where his mouth is. The Main Stream Republicans who would support a woman candidate and who would have voted for Clinton, are unfairly caste as ideologues by those self-proclaimed ‘Progressives” who proved to me this last election, that

1. Women of Color rank higher than Women
2. Any man, no matter how unknown or unproven is better than the best woman
3. Women are used against each other very effectively to minimize their awareness of their political worth.
4. The Majority United remains the single path to breaking this ceiling, yet Women Count unwittingly undermines that prospect by making “Progressive” voices more legitimate than Women’s Voices..

Until WOMEN stand together, without labels, demand an end to the double standard and cease to rationalize undercutting a legitimate female candidate by permitting men to define her, these appeals to women for support are a violation of faith. Despite a whole lot of objection from Clinton supporters and Eighteen Million primary votes, a MAN was handed the nomination via political maneuvering which Women Count joined. If you seek my support as a WOMAN, then get onboard with women candidates and resist the self-defeating hair-splitting about their politics. If the woman is qualified, give her the opportunity to do the job - with our full support she cannot fail!

A FEMALE VOICE affirming a woman’s perspective, thought processes and survival instincts is all we asked. In 2008, Women Count proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that for all the “YaYa”, men count more.

DIRECTV NEWS MIX

8 Channels:

CNN, Headline News, Bloomberg, CNBC, MSNBC, FOX Business, FOX News, Weather Channel.

I am watching as might a director: nothing taping; each screen is viewable simultaneously. See something on one channel while monitoring another? Tough to choose one upon which to focus?

NO DECISION REQUIRED! Be still, my Libra Heart; we simply view, then back it all up. All channels re-wind simultaneously. Tune into a replay of another…and so on. I get MoJo, Fox & Friends, and even a few business views.

Then, jam through the parts of lesser interest, only screening as you choose. Electronics; Ah!!!!! They give time, temper, and access management. I control whose opinion accesses ME!

A sports mix offers similar view.

not N.O.W.

again; NOW is not the way - too much baggage. Nobody wants to invest in an organization that will always be hijacked by those who have the will to violate the peace / progress agenda with an obnoxiously Aggressive one that misrepresents itself as Progressive.

A Progressive Agenda Guide makes absolutely certain that a majority is onboard with the change, has assimilated it down to the level of those whose needs we profess to be addressing, and we have ALL worked with it enough to assess value vis-a-vis what we want to keep, what we're eager to lose / willing to risk.

Change always forces those at the end of the line to shift focus. Plenty of immature hackers routinely play their games with that in mind. They are constantly demanding changes to prevent stability while they force their agenda. Everybody is competition to them. That dog-eat-dog attitude keeps everybody off balance and tense, diverting critical resources into needlessly confrontational distrust. Women with children, elderly parents or special needs family members require reliable PROGRAMS that enable them to live their lives and minimize their drudgery. They cannot afford to change for the sake of change. Minimized risk lets them adapt as their means solidify under their control. We take vacations where the sands constantly shift, we don’t build there.

Computer programmers never run a new program “live” in the production system until they have test, test, tested all aspects of it in a parallel system that doesn't put everybody else out of business when their experiments crash. They study, document and refine according to the test RESULTS. Guys who have families to support and whose living is contingent upon results (small businesses who don't get bailed out) need assurance that they won't fail as long as they work within the system and trust that rules violations are prevented by everybody else working the system, not playing to beat it. Any subtle glitch that misdirects data and resources or causes imbalance is rightly called corruption. Back Ups are crucial to the maintenance of a productive system that actually makes money. Income from rash gambles aren’t secure, don’t make for winners. Folks who aren’t lucky don’t consider themselves losers. They responsibly take the step, step, steps to success. Everybody WORKING THE SYSTEM rightfully demands that their earnings be protected from corruption.

At American Security Insurance, I learned that the motto: "Do It Right, Do It Once." means not permitting shortcuts. Procedure is productive. Well-written procedures become a staple of programming. Knowing when to call the correct procedure is critical. Once a mistake is discovered, everything halts, backs up and MUST BE corrected. You don't just let those who got THEIRS cop the benefits and press ahead while everybody else is dead in the water. The winners of the early rounds must track back and support the following attempts to secure the common progress.

This is the aspect of working together that New Yorkers know and the Provinces don't always get. It may explain why Red Staters are difficult for the MSM to understand. Those of us who must do our own chores because we can't afford to buy those services, don't have time for the push, push, pushers. Solid companies aren't stampeded into decisions by the salesman's manufactured sense of urgency. Good management views what is neither urgent nor important as lower in priority. When I sold syndicated news features, I learned that “No.” today only means “No” today! Two weeks from now, when this more pressing issue is resolved, let me look at that. Timing is key.

“We’re all set.” “We’ve got that covered, thank you.” "How is your approach better, cheaper, more efficient than what we have now?" "We would have to be sure in our hearts that this is the right move before we upend our apple cart to accommodate your recommended change." Not all of us share the same realities. What goes smoothly for one is a major hassle for others. Care. Ask questions. Walk a mile in my stilettos. Get over yourself. We tried that. We’re not ready to chuck all we’ve built to go another direction. UNLESS we have found that we have reached a wall. Then it makes a huge difference to us and all we impact, whether that “Wall” is the inevitable limit of our conditioning and endurance, or if it is resistance from those whose interests are disserved.

To the Left, contingencies and careful planning are cumbersome. To the Right, reason is trumped by Might, Force, Means to an end. In the middle are those who trusted in the bigger picture, expected to be considered carefully in all decisions that might strip them of their access.

Step, Step, Step. Take each in order. Skipping steps is cheating the system's many contributors. Nobody is at the top. A system is a level, somewhat like DNA. Take all 359 steps laterally, close the circle in one step up that brings all contributors into the fruits of their efforts.

Nobody should be asked to sacrifice dignity, stability, joy in their daily lives or indulge those who would exploit them. NOW has exploited trust. The 'engagement' that once had appeal was called off by the traditionalists who were concerned with safety, security and unanticipated consequences of rash changes.

Hence: Phyllis Schlafly deserves a hearing. OK. What obstacles does she see? Can we listen with open minds, without rejecting her out of hand in the SAME WAY OBOTS dismiss US? It offends me profoundly to be unceremoniously dumped after I’ve been a reliable cog in the machine. I’m not worn out or being replaced by something newer, better, stronger or more qualified. I’m being crudely eliminated by rogues whose hands should be cut off for stealing.

“When you lose your arms for reaching, Victory, Sprout Wings!”

Taking her medicine and moving onj

Who says Palin plans to remain a Republican? Didn't Joe Lieberman become an "I" once Connecticut Democrats denied him their nomination? Losing with Gore left Joe free to bunk with his contemporaries, and Palin can do the same.

A woman who had to work her way through the only college she could afford learned lessons of Economics that aren't taught at Columbia or Harvard. She learned to prioritize, preserve resources, make do and accept herself. Hunters, fishermen and outdoor sports in her stomping grounds infuse her with THEIR values, the spirit of THEIR beliefs. They are the ones who elected her, their wishes guide her. In HER circle of influence, hunting from helicopters is no different from hunting from speed boats in Florida. Heck, she likely does more thinking while running than Maureen Dowd does over white wine while she "researches" her next OpEd. Those Monkey Pumps they ridicule? Ask any mom who makes do with vintage resales why it's worth it to spend the clothing allowance on something for the kids. Meet the people who vote for you at the WalMart.

Really, ladies of the Elite Media and Schools of Thought; wouldn't you sniff your rejection of me without consideration rather than treat me with respect for what I might bring to the table? She is in your world, not OF it. Everybody knows YOU make the rules in your world. Palin certainly respects that, and so do I. Plenty of us know OUR resumes were laughed out of the nyt: our worth is not a recognized value in your protective guild. Take the pulse of your loyal readers in Alaska. My guess is you're not on their radar... Who could say we'd have different views if we were in your shoes? I wouldn't judge you because I don't sit in your office, enjoying the Agency Power built by your predecessors' brilliance. I don't live in fear of losing my job, nor is my work motivated by the preservation of my status. I'm blessed to be unemployed at the moment. Thus free to read your stuff. O.K. Sara Palin can't be a feminist because she doesn't share your views, she can't speak for you. Her self confidence is earned. She resigned to free her to serve full time as a whipping girl for the blood sports. She doesn't share your "taste" in wine, clothes (from what I hear, maybe she does!) or friends. You're an insider, Camilla. Sara's just a debutante in the fringes of the world you covet. Heaven help us if she makes it in when you can't.

Access Acquisition Redux

For $25,000 to $250,000, The Washington Post is offering lobbyists and association executives off-the-record, nonconfrontational access to “those powerful few” — Obama administration officials, members of Congress, and the paper’s own reporters and editors.
The astonishing offer is detailed in a flier circulated Wednesday to a health care lobbyist, who provided it to a reporter because the lobbyist said he feels it’s a conflict for the paper to charge for access to, as the flier says, its “health care reporting and editorial staff.”
(From Politico)

A year ago, I likened the main stream media insiders to nothing short of courtiers who vie for access to celebrity news-makers, especially if they be public servants.

I'm not ATTACKING the press or the msm, but, rather, observing that the access enjoyed by the Fourth Estate is something lobbyists have to PAY FOR. In the progressive corruption department of the absolute power chase, the gesture floated by WaPo’s “Marketing” people was produced by the cynical Post culture! One must also note that these professionals share an operating system heavy with ego, wealth in peril and, like the New York Times, still so in love with the good ol’ days, unwilling to accept that they are no longer in control of thought. Desperately, they invent channels for cash flow, hoping to ride out the credibility crisis until the news consumer rediscovers the Post's superior status. Fortunes have a way of getting squandered by the privileged legacy hires who have no idea what great folks their predecessors had to be to build the venerable institutions they now parade as status ranches.

“It’s expensive to be us,” they plea … to paraphrase Anna Nicole Smith.

Dolly Parton said it best: “It costs me a lot to look this cheap.”

Proceding With Demolition

The bots are wearing their digits to the bone freakin' out about Michelle's seat at the staff meetings and Sara's chosen course indifferent to the establishment advice on acquiring Foreign Policy chops. Like Jackie, Sara - not Michelle - is the femme fatale with the stuff to lead. Vanity Un Fair Todd lobs another salvo that plays into her competitive instincts. Y'know, Jackie never even altered her pace to JFK's fretting her high maintenance ways. She knew who her audience was and how to play 'em. And, of course, she did. Title IX action produced legitimacy you can't acquire by putting on expensive trainers. Look over your horse before you bet your race. Palin - no matter WHAT you say, guys, is a winner.

Blockades, Strikes and Other Strategies

Nobody gets by except by me.

Associate with chickens; scratch in the dirt and fight over crumbs. (Andrews, "The Traveler's Gift")

Soar with Eagles; get a bird's EYE View. See how the land LIES. About the Iranian election; we know how O got the nomination; "Where are our votes?" has a too familiar ring! But, as advised by bots, we got over it. I am truly THERE. Ruminating on it keeps me focused. I am on the earth to serve. I cannot change the past, but I can see the way to the future, with faith in myself and the collective divinity of those who arrive ready to change things up wisely.

Some techniques are effective. Find those.

Working Through Mob Mysogny

la Madrina (the Godmother), The Antimafia (Palgrave), "In the Mafia, power rests on the actual execution of violence."

Certainly Mafia women have proved to be no wallflowers in the world of violence. "Instead of leading the tide of righteous citizens against crime, women turned out to be even more entrenched in Mafia values than men," Clare Longrigg wrote in Mafia Women...

Leading the tide of righteous citizens against crime, then, must unify us in our mission. This is what makes women a pain to deal with, yet we are poised to tilt the balance of our power toward this very quality in women. Our gender is uniquely empowered to reason and temper the progression of ideas. Our survival instincts, our natural endurance and our concern for the preservation of our childrens' security distinguish our abilities to recognize, approach and master challenges to our ideals. Our desire to "stay pretty" while being hit with the best shots, drives our alternative universe colonialism.

We're getting there. Learning to dance, develop as we stretch, coreograph and set our gestures to music, we acquire both strength and flexibility. Our audience will get our best out of us. Play to them. Non-Violent in our tactics, responses and emotions, we accept each day's work as logged with the utmost faith that we will achieve our goals in the fullness of time. Enjoy and make the most of the journey and the dedicated spirits who accompany us.

Let us respect each other. We grow healthy when we value our differences along with our common interests.

Scrutinize "da ROOLZ"

This blog was created just after the R&BL Committee cheated 18 million democrats of their votes. initiated during the Primaries. After Party Unity My Ass had been declared, bona-fide leaders held onto their sanity and found support at the Just Say No Deal Coalition. There I came to hear the tales of HRC supporters who were banished from the Daily Koz, Huffington Post and such by the Overbearing Obots as the Cheeto-chomping crazies blogging in their parents' basement came to be called.

Though I had things to say, survival instincts kept my head down, my profile low and my posts carefully-worded. Lurking and occasionally commenting helped me discern the balancing forces that lend blogger credibility.

Knowing that Power hates a vacuum and that the Fourth Estate's duty is to observe and report objectively, I put most of my energy into remaining at arms length from those suicidal news organs willing to take Obama's money - however egregiously raised - to pay their bills.

Great fortunes were built during the Great Depression. Auctions sell properties foreclosed upon to investors willing to grab a bargain born of another's misfortune or bad business decisions. So, when the bailout bonanza got underway, my mind was too conditioned to seeing the Bushies skate the rules by grabbing cover from the W admin to think it was CHANGE. Bush cut a deal with 'the chosen one' to make room at the trough and keep the invitation list tight if the freshman Senator would play ball. la Bama knows a convenience when he sees one, and added just another insider's chip to his purse.

Alas: those of you who worked all your life to prepare and position yourselves to make the most of the opportunity created by Lehman Brothers' demise were chanelled to oblivion, permitting the playas to feast unfettered. Take heart: it ain't over til it's ovah.

KEEP TO THE CODE

Recently, my county chairmen (previous 3) took a petty complaint to my State Committee in an effort to unseat me. Accusing me of campaigning for John McCain, they used an email I sent in response to an invitation to express views on the way women were treated during the 2008 campaign. My comments revolved strictly around the responsibility women must assert in order to curtail the level of misogynistic attacks sustained by Palin and before her, Clinton. Resisting such outrageous slander by rejecting it is every reasonable person's duty. Seated at last Fall's County Committee fundraiser dinner with fellow dems who were honoring an elderly committee woman, I heard nothing but degrading comments about Sara Palin that shocked me. Remarks of this nature can be expected from marginal activists, but effective leadership is borne of respect for the opposition.

Sara's story isn't over. Each dismissive, ugly word expressed in contempt of her just adds to her aura. The Palin-Basher, not Sara, is diminished by such inappropriate comment.

I once organized a skate race that began in Athens, Georgia and ended at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, 86 miles away. When I trained to participate in the skate, I was shown how males are intimidated by even the prospect of losing to a distaff competitor. Pompous assertions like: 'No Girl's Gonna Beat ME!" were routine. I held my comment and bit my tongue then doubled down on my training. I had set a goal for myself and was prepared to do all it took to complete the course. For me, the Clock, not the other skaters, was the focus. I wanted to arrive in Mid Town in under eight hours. The event was a fundraiser for the Leukemia Society. Participants covered the miles pledged to raise funds. Only the testosterone-driven guys were making it a race. I never saw them give up the beer, smoke or junk food to prepare themselves for their effort.

My 'friends' who dated other skaters were unable to say anything supportive to me because their "boyfriends" were so vile and intimidating in their rejection of my leadership. But I got up before dawn every Sunday morning and skated the 17 miles to Stone Mountain. This commitment spared me the humiliation of being insulted by those fellow trainees who spent Saturday nights on the bar stool. My "Companion" was the headset that tuned me into Kasey Kasem's top 20 countdown of pop music hits. Kasey offered encouragement and amusing commentary between the week's favored requests. I laced on my skates, tapped into the headphones and logged on the miles week after week. By the end of the summer, a training associate had joined me and we shared the road work. Just do it.

That colleague finished 5th, though he had dropped out at 55 miles the previous year. We called each other "Coach." I finished 4th. We didn't "talk about it." We did it.

Mental toughness proved to be the number one requirement for weathering the criticsm. I spent many hours processing away the pain and embarassment of the things said about and to me. But at Wednesday night Buckhead Bar Rolls, I could drive up any hill and pass virtually any of those who were taunting me. By summer's end, I had logged more than ten training miles for each mile I was committed to skate. My view of those who were tormenting me became elevated. If I didn't go around their "social" outings at which they preened and postured for attention, I neither triggered no experieced their Touretts. On the other hand, the hottest skaters, ten years my junior, sought me out because I was one of the few who could keep up with them. I discovered this comforting truth:
LIONS PLAY WITH LIONS.

No mother fears for her young while they play with their peers. But the "mothers" in those guys freaked out at the sight of something they saw in me: A Better Way.
Hillary Clinton, I submit, was OVERQUALIFIED for the presidency. How many women suffer not being hired for that reason? She's now doing serious work diplomatically.

In Pirates of the Caribbean, shipmates came aboard, pledged to return the Black Pearl to Captain Jack Sparrow, who had lost his boat to the mutinous crew now cursed by the Pearl's stolen treasure. Each knew the CODE; "Every Man for Himself. If any mate falls behind, go on without him." They skirted their moral duties to their mates by proclaiming; "Keep to the Code."

With a "knowing" nod, winners keep faith in their sporting colleagues. If you'd done the course, you earned the grade. Sure, some of the hackers who dogged their work-outs will try to "bamboozle" you into letting them get away with their hollow threats, but those of us who've done the work know each other and recognize the posers. Thus we recognized the Obama Illusion. "Not this time." might have convinced the newly-minted voters for change. But, like any responsible business person, I wasn't buying it. "See me next year, if you're still in business." There's a four year cycle that tests, proves and delivers the performers. I won't make such important decisions and hand over my country to somebody who might just be 'having a good year.' I want to see that my leaders can weather discouragement, rise from their own failures and re-invent themselves following valuable lessons learned. In my educated-by-experience view, Hillary Clinton had certainly done that, bHO had not.

Oh, and the shot of Michelle glaring at Carla Bruni? ... I guess that's why the petulant Mrs O refused to dine with the French President that evening. She meant to snub the First Lady. That she maneuvered a Family dinner in Paris - her own President safely snatched from the aura of Sarkozy's wife - said it all.
