The "Magic Ticket"

At an elementary school in Carrick, PA, a K-9 Officer, at eye level with the children, "sniffs" indicators of a community's worst fears.  It is urgent that the families of the students recognize and respect the threat to their existence.  Their Lives, as they have known them, are ended.  It is a new day, they begin anew, to dispose of that which is "perishable" and clean out the refrigerator of their sense of security to learn to police themselves.  The Shepherd processes information without the temptation to retreat into denial or shock.
The Dog relies on sense, trained to associate what is delivered to his nose with the signals he is alerted to flag.  To the City Schools of Pittsburgh and the families of Carrick, this dog says: "Trust Your Instincts."  Remain calm, but reason through this clear and present danger.  Unlike the overblown drama of TSA pat-downs of 7 year olds, SEE what you are looking at and respond intelligently.  The indicators, however subtle, are there for you to discern.
