Gordon Gekko "Observes"

The Godfather movies seduced the gangsta wanna-be's with cinematic violence, dismissive treatment of Women and glorification of expediency.  For years, I was concerned that inner city black males glamorized the "White House" attitude of the moment.  The lesson of the "Trilogy" most wrenching in the cruelty with which Michael, his soul imprisoned by the choices made, decimated his once great family.

This morning, 1.1.11 - Winter Classic Day, I view a clip from "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps"  asserts to a "still doesn't get it" apostle who sells insurance, not credit default swaps, that it's like selling crack to kids.

HOPE & CHANGE.
Rock & Roll.
Reckless Insubstantiality.

To the! crowd:  ! get !t, alreadyi

Admittedly, along the curve at a "traditional" pace, the cost consideration eludes the "fearless don't-know-no-betters"

but can they make awesome breakfast?  Bill Telepan, Chef On a Shoestring Champ, offers apple pancakes with ... get ready:  BACON MAPLE SYRUP WITH BUTTER ALREADY MELTED IN IT!
