Lost Sunday

Unshakeable cold has grippe on me, yet I know if I can just drive myself to get up and going... but I need cough syrup, decongestant and rest.  Yesterday I thought it was allergies because I wasn't sick, but today, ick.

Lots of issues await the new Congress, our own work.  Tomorrow resumes the work year, and I go forward with the EYES-EARS of Angels.  Yammer & babble, disruption of daily life order and talking over each other preventing any progress towards middle ground.

I get above it with forgiveness.  Taking higher ground to witness and accept, now the discipline evolves to eliminate negative emotions from my processing of information.  1-2-11 Accepting what is, realizing it, understanding.  For me the way people "work" is different from professional people with a shared company mission.  I get it.  Politics isn't about what's best for the Country; it's about what's in it for the political.  So move onjtu a working professional, forget about EVER getting results working with "the political people."

You cannot run the government like a business.  The Government is a "lid" to be kept on the crazies that prevent things from getting out of control.   But putting "controlling people" in government just triggers revolt: the thing we don't want.  All we ask of our elected officials is to preserve a mechanism by which we can persue redress when it is our conviction that we've been wronged.

A business "makes money."  A business, if it is to thrive, invites interaction, promotes itself and desires to expand the numbers of those they serve.  A business, if it is legitimate, seeks to get production out of employees and employ only as many as are needed to serve that customer base.  Does that sound anything at all like what we have in Government?

Likewise Medicine & Health Care doesn't qualify as business.  Advances in medicine haave so extended our life expectancy that our "Government" cannot keep up with all our healthy, wise adults.  Aside from Defense, the only growth in the Economy is in the Medical Sector.  The Bank-Busting risk to financial stability is the health care to which we have access.  Both my husband and my son's father-in-law survived health issues that would have been unlikely twenty years ago.

American Business needs to take the same approach to evolving technology to a level of practice that mirrors what we find today in Hospitals.  First class care with a mind to maximizing income opportunities.  Some move at a pace that blurrs to the eye of the average person.  Some work together seamlessly, selflessly and with the utmost skill and great attitude.  And some just roam around labarynth - like hospital halls collecting huge paychecks and doing nothing of substance, but nobody asks.

Hummin' performing providers at the top, hackin' slackers at the middle and "customers" who cluelessly demand services at the bottom.  Still smoking?  Driving recklessly? Not eating right, getting exercise?

Belly up, boys.  We had the climate change O/C writers predicting our planet was freezing in the 70's.  Dire predictions and warnings about the economic clash were forecast as early as Spring of '07, yet when the Lehman Brothers declared bankruptcy, who could have known that the over-reaction would foster conditions that would prompt the taxpayers to fund bonus billions to the crooks who caused it?

Do your best and trust that things will be good.  Police your immediate colleagues, stay alert to things that "seem out of place" and expect a great 2011.  Blender: the elements of all you can be are directly in front of you.  Take it in with positive expectancy and know that YOU are the process that makes it work, and you make it work WELL because you're great!
